Which subreddits ban AI-generated posts?

We read the rules of 705 Reddit communities. 256 have a rule that removes some or all AI-generated posts, comments or media. 20 more remove bots or automated accounts, 15 allow AI-assisted content only when it's labeled, and 43 more have a rule that names AI or bots. Each community's page quotes the rule and the date we read it.

What the written rules don't show

  • Readers notice. Posts that read as AI-written draw replies calling them out, in communities with no AI rule too. Write in your own words, with real numbers and what actually happened.
  • Unpublished filters. Many communities also remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page.
  • Rules change. Communities add AI rules often. Read the current rules before you post.
