Subreddits that allow self-promotion, with their exact rules.

Most subreddits remove self-promotion, and a few removals can get an account restricted. These communities say in their own rules that you may share your own work, and where. Here are the 10 largest we found, with the rule quoted word for word.

We read each community's rules page and sidebar with ThreadFox's own tools and kept only communities whose rules allow it in normal posts or in a named recurring thread. Rules change, so read them again before you post. The reddit_rules tool in ThreadFox does that in a few seconds.

   Where: Regular themed community threads for showcasing your own photos; Business Wednesday thread for business questions; apps and web projects are prohibited entirely

   Requirements: Zero-tolerance promotion policy outside the community threads; self-promotion must be no more than 10% of your submissions; no blogspam, ads, shortlinks, referral links, crowdfunding, surveys or contest votes; apps/web-development projects prohibited; flair only for portfolios; no AI-generated text

   Rule 1 (No Promotion of Any Kind): "We have a zero-tolerance policy for promotion. Any form of advertising or self-promotion outside of showcasing photos or projects in the appropriate thread is prohibited. Any web-development projects or apps are prohibited as they do not relate to the practice of photography."    Where: Weekly self-promotion thread posted every Sunday; never a normal post

   Requirements: Self-promotion (commercial or not) and selling are banned outside the Sunday thread; account at least one day old with 100+ total karma and comment karma above -75; English; include the title of the work in post titles; no pirated content; no memes

   Rule 2 (NO SELF PROMO/SPAM): "Self Promotion (regardless of commercial intent) is not allowed. Selling items is also not allowed. Repeat offenders will receive a temporary ban."    Requirements: Account at least 10 days old with 15+ comment karma in r/realestateinvesting to post at all; no links to your site, apps, calculators or 'free' utilities outside the monthly thread; violations are permanent bans

   Requirements: At most about three submissions a week from your domain; no AI-generated comics; don't spoil the punchline; follow the NSFW guidelines
