What this page is

This page quotes r/audiophile's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-05. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/audiophile's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.

Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.

Want to post here? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? All 7 rules of r/audiophile
  1. Be most excellent towards the community
And by "be most excellent" we mean no personal attacks, mocking, trolling, baiting, flaming, hate speech, racism, sexism, gatekeeping, or other behavior that makes humanity look like scum.
  2. Ask purchase and shopping questions in the Shopping and Setup Help Desk
Requests for product opinions, comparisons, and general purchase advice must be made in r/StereoAdvice or the dedicated [Shopping and Setup Help Desk](https://www.reddit.com/r/audiophile/about/sticky) instead of a new post.
  3. Ask troubleshooting and setup questions in the Shopping and Setup Help Desk
Requests for troubleshooting and setup help must be made in the dedicated [Shopping and Setup Help Desk](https://www.reddit.com/r/audiophile/about/sticky) instead of a new post.
  4. Rules for image posts
Image posts must be accompanied by a comment with impressions or details that add value to the post. The comment does not need to be exhaustive, but should strive to give enough information to start the discussion.
  5. Disallowed content
We do not allow: affiliate links, links to affiliate farms, pirated content, NSFW/NSFL content, market research, surveys, sweepstakes, giveaways, spam or self promotion.
  6. No selling or buying
This subreddit does not allow selling or buying gear. Please use /r/AVExchange
  7. No off-topic or headphone content
Post headphones and portable audio related content in /r/headphones. Moderators also reserve the right to remove other content that fits better in other subreddits.

What the written rules don't show

  • Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
  • Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
  • The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.

Let your AI read the rules before it posts.

ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
