All 9 rules of r/bankingexam
- Stay Relevant to Banking Exams & Careers
Posts and discussions must be meaningfully related to banking/financial-sector examinations, preparation, recruitment, results, interviews, or careers in the sector. Relevant topics include SBI, IBPS, RRB, RBI, NABARD, SEBI, LIC, insurance-sector examinations, exam preparation, study strategies, exam experiences, recruitment processes, and life/career discussions that are relevant to aspirants. Content unrelated to these subjects may be removed. - No Low-Effort or Poorly Framed Posts
Posts should provide enough context for the community to understand the question or discussion. Posts consisting only of a vague question, an unexplained screenshot, a one-line statement, a generic reaction, or content requiring others to guess what the poster is asking may be removed. Before posting, search the subreddit for existing discussions and provide relevant details in your post. - Use Megathreads for Repetitive or High-Volume Content
Certain topics generate a large number of similar posts and must be kept in the designated megathreads. This may include mock-test scores and analysis, exam attempts, centre/admit-card discussions, form-filling queries, small doubts, repetitive exam-day questions, and similar high-volume topics. Standalone posts on topics covered by an active megathread may be removed. - Memes & Humour Must Be Relevant
Banking-exam and banking-career related memes and humour are welcome. Generic memes, unrelated images/videos, shitposts, reaction posts, or content posted primarily for engagement or karma farming may be removed. Humour is welcome; relevance still matters. - Personal Posts Must Have a Meaningful Connection
Personal experiences related to exams, preparation, selection, interviews, joining, work, or banking careers are welcome when they provide useful context or discussion. Posts primarily about unrelated relationships, dating, marriage, personal drama, songs, photographs, or other matters unrelated to the purpose of the subreddit belong elsewhere and may be removed. - Be Respectful and Professional
Treat fellow members and moderators with basic respect. Personal attacks, harassment, bullying, sexual remarks directed at other users, abusive or deliberately provocative comments, and degrading language are not permitted and will result in BAN. Disagreements about exams, coaching, policies, cut-offs, recruitment or other topics are allowed; attack the argument, not the person. - No Sexual, Explicit, or Inappropriate Content
Sexually explicit, sexually suggestive, pornographic, or otherwise inappropriate content is not permitted. This includes posts, images, comments, jokes, usernames used for sexual solicitation, and sexual remarks directed at other members. - No Misinformation, Fraud, or Unauthorized Material
Do not intentionally post false or misleading information. Verify important claims relating to notifications, eligibility, vacancies, examination rules, results, cut-offs, or recruitment before posting. Do not share, request, sell, or facilitate access to pirated or unauthorized paid study material, leaked examination material, or other prohibited content. Scams, fraudulent offers, suspicious paid-service solicitations, and deceptive promotions may be removed and reported - No Spam, Reposts, or Unapproved Promotion
Do not repeatedly post the same or substantially similar content. Check recent posts before submitting notifications, news, resources, or other frequently posted information. Unsolicited advertising, affiliate links, coaching promotion, paid services, referral campaigns, Telegram/Discord promotion, or other self-promotion requires moderator approval.
What the written rules don't show
- Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
- Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
- The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
Let your AI read the rules before it posts.
ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
