What this page is
This page quotes r/barista's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-07. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/barista's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.
Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.
Want to post here? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? What its rules say about promotion
No Self-Promotion
This means no posting, linking, or recommending your own content, or any content produced by a person or company you're affiliated with.
All 4 rules of r/barista
- Be Civil
Please be civil. This includes, but is not limited to, hate speech and fighting about politics. Do not participate in drama. Keep it in your DM's or use the report button instead. - Industry-Related Posts Only
This sub is focused on working in the coffee industry, this should be the primary subject in all posts. Anything straying too far off topic may be removed. - No Self-Promotion
This means no posting, linking, or recommending your own content, or any content produced by a person or company you're affiliated with. - No Low-Effort or Spam
If you are asking a question please be as specific as possible. All posts should be barista related and include some form of a cohesive thought, question or statement, for discussion. Shitposting or vague posts like "I want to be a barista, any tips?", "How to ask out a barista?" or "best espresso machine for $$$?" will be removed.
What the written rules don't show
- Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
- Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
- The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
Let your AI read the rules before it posts.
ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
