Limit yourself to a maximum of two consecutive posts within 24 hours. Posts and comments must focus on sharing beats, seeking beats, or engaging in meaningful discussions about music production. Irrelevant, off-topic, trolling, or spam posts and comments will be removed and users may be subject to being banned. - No Piracy or Inappropriate Content
Sharing pirated content, discussing piracy, or posting adult, explicit, or prohibited content is not allowed. Images and media associated with your posts must comply with Reddit’s Content Policy and copyright laws. Posts featuring explicit imagery, nudity, or content unrelated to music production will be removed. - Foster a Positive Community
Maintain a constructive and supportive environment in both posts and comments. Negative, slanderous, harmful, or trolling comments will not be tolerated. Members are encouraged to give constructive feedback on beats shared to foster engagement and collaboration. - Permitted Links Only
Only links from the following platforms are allowed: YouTube, SoundCloud, Apple Music, Spotify, Rumble, TikTok, BeatStars, and Bandcamp. When sharing YouTube links, use the full youtube.com URL. Do not use shortened links like youtu.be. The following links are not allowed: - Links to drum kits, MIDI kits, or downloadable files - Shortened URLs (e.g. bit.ly, tinyurl) - Monetized redirect links of any kind Violations may result in post removal or further action. - Follow Submission Guidelines
Posts must include a valid beat link or embedded media. Links are not allowed in titles, they should be added to the post body or comments. Use the correct post flair. Misusing or failing to use the appropriate flair may result in removal. Do not add your post text/link in the title of your post. Do not write your posts in all caps.
What the written rules don't show
- Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
- Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
- The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
