This sub is a community, not an audience. Promotion of any kind requires the user to abide by our [Participation & Promotion Guidelines](/r/boardgames/wiki/contribution-guides/#wiki_rule_5). If you're attempting to run an AMA, you must do so by scheduling it with the mods via modmail.

  2. No Discrimination, Harassment, or Malicious Content
    We have zero tolerance for hate speech, doxing, or threats. Any violation of this rule is considered bannable, even on the first offence. Harassment, dog whistles, playing devil’s advocate, sea-lioning, and general pot-stirring is considered malicious and is not permitted.
  3. Keep Discussions Civil
    All discussion, even disagreements, is expected to be conducted civilly. Unwelcomed behavior that breaks our [Community Guidelines](/r/boardgames/wiki/community) are subject to removal, regardless of content, and repeated offences can lead to bans.
  4. Posts Must be On-Topic
    At their core, posts should be discussion-oriented. External media or content, when shared, must engage the community. Above all, posts must be directly related to the board gaming hobby. Please see our list of [Off-Topic Posts](/r/boardgames/wiki/off-topic) which are subject to removal.

  7. Respect Intellectual Property
    Sharing self-created projects are encouraged, but must be done so in a way that respects the intellectual property of publishers/designers. Shared game assets or digital recreations that are not publicly released by the IP holders require written permission by the IP holder. Game re-themes must be shared in such a way as to prevent physical recreation.
  8. Hide Spoilers and NSFW Content
    Respect other users of this sub by keeping Spoilers and possibly NSFW content hidden. Posts and comments **must** be appropriately tagged or hidden in accordance with our [Spoilers](/r/boardgames/wiki/contribution-guides#wiki_spoilers) guidelines.
  9. Limit Usage of AI
    This sub encourages real discussion of board games. Therefore, content or comments that are largely or completely made by AI are subject to removal. Additionally, certain websites and applications are no longer allowed due to the prevalence of vibe-coding.
