Can you promote on r/BreakUps?
Allowed, with limits Its rules allow sharing your own work, with conditions they spell out.
What this page is
This page quotes r/BreakUps's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-05. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/BreakUps's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.
Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.
Want to post here? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? We'll post for you ($99 per 30-day campaign). Free: a Reddit launch plan for your product, ThreadFox Lite or the posting checklist by email.

What its rules say about promotion
No discussion of revenge.
We encourage healing, not retaliation. Posts or comments promoting retaliation, revenge, or harm toward others will be removed and may result in a ban.
No encouraging suicide.
Do not suggest, promote, or encourage self-harm or suicide in any form. Such content will be removed and may lead to a permanent ban.
Outside links will be reviewed before posted.
All outside links will go to the mod queue before being posted for review. Because of this, please don't expect links to show up on the subreddit immediately. You may not promote your own communities or commercial ventures without prior permission.

Report them instead. - Please Stay on Topic
This is a safe place to discuss breakups, not politics, world affairs, etc. - No long solid walls of text, please
Please don't long walls of text, a single endless run-on sentence or in textspeak. Reddit's formatting is strange and requires that you hit shift twice in order to create a paragraph. Please remember that we have members with disabilities, and this kind of post can be difficult to read. - Images
The images you upload should only be screenshots. No personal images or screenshots with personal informations. No NSFW images.
What the written rules don't show
- Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
- Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
- The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
Let your AI read the rules before it posts.
ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
