What this page is

What its rules say about promotion
No advertising/Self promotion
Posts that are purely for advertising your sub, youtube, store etc. do not fit in with the theme of the sub, so will be removed. These can only be posted in the official promotional thread. Surveys should be posted to the r/askireland subreddit.
All 8 rules of r/CasualIreland
- Don't be a Politics/Religion Peddler
Any mentions of politics/religion, including passing references, will be removed and may result in a temp/perma day ban. This sub is strictly no politics. - No Subreddit Drama
Don't be spreading the bitching about other subreddits here, ain't our business! - Don't be general eejit.
Don't be insulting people here, we're a sub for having casual chats, not fights. - Don't be a Negative/Controversial
Please keep er light and breezy. We get the need to vent etc. but this is a casual sub and it's meant to be where you come to get away from the doom and gloom of other places. Posts made to antagonise will be removed and may result in a temp/perma ban. If you are seeking help or advice, please phrase your post as such and keep it constructive - posts that are simply negative commentary will be removed. - No advertising/Self promotion
Posts that are purely for advertising your sub, youtube, store etc. do not fit in with the theme of the sub, so will be removed. These can only be posted in the official promotional thread. Surveys should be posted to the r/askireland subreddit. - No repetitive/themed posts
If someone posts something that you have your own version/example of (for eg. your pints!), try keep responses to posts in the comments thread instead of making a new post with your own one. This will avoid multiple posts about the same subject in a day. - No dm-ing mods or public posting about subreddit issues
Problem with a post? Mod Mail. Problem with a rule? Mod Mail. Problem with a mod action? Mod Mail. Absolutely no personal messages are to be sent to any mod regarding sub/mod issues. This will be an instant temp/perm ban. - Ban evasion
Reddit has flagged this account for ban evasion. If you continue to post/comment you run the risk of a site-wide ban. If this was a mistake you can appeal the flag here: https://www.reddit.com/appeal To open the appeal process your account must be banned from casualireland.
What the written rules don't show
- Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
- Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
- The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
Let your AI read the rules before it posts.
ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
