No Self-Promotion or Spam
Self-promotion of personal projects, businesses, or content (unless it's directly related to the local community or has a strong relevance to Dehradun) is not allowed. This includes promoting social media accounts, blogs, or commercial services. If you have any questions about this, reach out to the moderators.

  1. Not Relevant to Dehradun
    Submissions should be about Dehradun and areas surrounding it. News about other parts of Uttarakhand is to be posted in r/Uttarakhand. We may allow occasional important news belonging to the state.
  2. No abusing, regionalism, racism, harassment or offensive content.
    Comments or self-texts that are abusive, indulge in personal attacks, call to violence, among others that violate Rediquette, derail discussions or push off-topic irrelevant comments will be removed and can lead to a ban.
  3. No low effort posts
    We do not allow any low effort posts on the subreddit. Questions and posts that can be easily found in the sub or answered by popular search engines are considered low effort. Posts with very short , lazy content and repetitive also falls under this category.
  4. Lack of reputed, credible sources or citations
    We expect all submissions to be from reputed and verified sources. Established media websites including organisational (non-personal) Twitter, other Social media and YouTube accounts which are marked Verified are considered as reputed sources.

    Do not share personal information about others without their consent, including photos, addresses, or contact details. We respect everyone’s privacy, and any post that violates this rule will be removed.

  8. Personal Selfies & Photos Are Not Allowed
    Posts that are personal selfies/personal content, which are not directly related to Dehradun or its community events are off-topic and may be removed.
