Can you promote on r/devblogs?

This is a place for game and software developers to share posts following the development of their projects. Post anything about the progress you made with your game or app, tell us the story behind them or the details of your marketing campaign. If you write a blog about game and other software projects you are welcome here!

What its rules say about promotion

Content must be a blog post or video
Your content must be descriptive and it must be a post or video showing or explaining some progress/update/news in your project. You can't post a link to your blog homepage or other types of content.
Title must not include a Call To Action
CTAs like "subscribe, upvote, follow, buy, etc..." are NOT allowed in your title. This is a subreddit about blog posts, not a marketing outlet and begging is never good marketing anyway. Content that includes CTAs within its content is allowed, but you need to add some value to it.
No showcasing
Blog posts which are just showcasing your game or app are not allowed. This community is for blogs that talk about the creation process, not for marketing material that presents a finished product.
All 7 rules of r/devblogs
  1. Content must be a blog post or video
    Your content must be descriptive and it must be a post or video showing or explaining some progress/update/news in your project. You can't post a link to your blog homepage or other types of content.
  2. No direct store links, or simply announcing the release of your game
    Feel free to post a devblog celebrating the release, but having a direct link to the store page with the title "<GAME> has just released" is not welcome. Consider instead doing a brief writeup about the weeks leading up to release and some lessons you've learned, with a link at the end to the store page.
  3. No image or short-video only posts
    /r/devblogs is for blogs about a game, whether it's about the progress you've made, the lesson's you've learned, or a post-mortem retrospective. If you'd like to post a trailer or an image, you must make a text-only post that includes context.
  4. Title must not include a Call To Action

  7. No changelogs
    A simple list of changes, updates or new features is not a dev log. You can write about all the changes and new features of your game/app, but you need to add more context and value to your post.
