What its rules say about promotion
Use Suggested Template / Only High Quality Posts
To ensure our community remains a great place for discovery, we encourage the use of the posting template found in the sidebar and post guidance. Posts that are just a link with no description may be removed to keep the feed high-quality. Suggested Template: https://www.reddit.com/r/droidappshowcase/wiki/suggested-post-template/
No Spam or Excessive Self-Promotion
We want to see your apps, but we also want you to be a part of the community. • Limit: **1 app post per week per account** • No cross-sub spam, link-dumping, or affiliate links • No obvious promo-only accounts or spam patterns
App Link Requirement & Policy
All showcases must include a direct link to the app page from a reputable source. We do not allow 'link-dumping' without context, nor do we permit links from unapproved or low-reputation domains. See our Approved Domains page for the full current list: https://www.reddit.com/r/droidappshowcase/wiki/approved-domains
No NSFW or Age-Restricted Content
This community is strictly SFW (Safe For Work). We do not allow any content that is sexually explicit, graphic, or mature in nature. Additionally, content promoting regulated or age-restricted goods and activities—including gambling, alcohol, tobacco, and vaping—is strictly prohibited.
Account Age & Karma Requirements
To prevent automated spam and protect the showcase, submissions from brand-new or low-karma accounts are automatically filtered for review. Age: 24+ hours Karma: 2+ combined
Testing requests belong in r/droidapptesters
If your post is asking for testers, beta feedback, bug reports, or pre-release validation, please post it in r/droidapptesters instead of droidappshowcase. droidappshowcase is for app showcases, release-ready updates, promotional posts, and completed projects.
All 11 rules of r/droidappshowcase
- Android Content Only
All posts must be directly related to Android apps, games, or the Android development ecosystem. Content regarding iOS, hardware-only news, or unrelated tech will be removed. - Quality Giveaways and Perks
If you use the Promo/Giveaway flair, the offer must be legitimate. Clearly state how users can claim the subscriptions, keys, or credits. Scams or "clickbait" rewards will result in a permanent ban. - Civil and Constructive Feedback
Constructive criticism is welcome, but harassment, insults, or unhelpful "this sucks" comments are not. Help developers improve by being specific about bugs or UI issues you encounter. - Use Suggested Template / Only High Quality Posts

What the written rules don't show
- Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
- Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
- The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
Let your AI read the rules before it posts.
