    Due to the amount of posts about the cost of accommodation and the rental situation in Dublin, a dedicated subreddit has been opened to discuss these topics: /r/RentingInDublin. Any post discussing the above will be removed.
  4. Try to be nice
    Normal decent common courtesy is expected of all users of this sub.
  5. Post must be directly related to Dublin, city or county.
    Posts that are not specifically and directly related to Dublin are liable to be removed without notice.
  6. Tourism related posts should be submitted to r/irishtourism
    We can't answer tourism related questions that have been asked and answered a hundred times before. There's a dedicated sub for visitors -r/irishtourism

What the written rules don't show

  • Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
  • Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
  • The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
