No Promotion, and No Feedback/Research for Seller Tools
We do not allow promotional posts or comments here. This includes linking your shop or including images in your post when they are not relevant to your question. Linking your shop is required in the context of a shop critique request - please read sub rule #2. If you'd like to promote, please visit the stickied promotion post. There is a zero tolerance policy for promotion of, feedback on, or market research for services or tools for sellers. We have been getting flooded with this lately.
Do not spam shop links or post referral links
Please only post links to your shops where they are necessary to provide context to your questions or feedback. The only other approved place for shop links is the stickied weekly Milestone and Self Promotion threads. We do not allow posts or comments with referral links.
Posts about Etsy policy violations / legal questions / copyright questions
Questions which ask for legal advice (such as "does this count as copyright infringement") will be removed as this sub is not equipped to offer legal advice, and the advice given is typically purely guesswork. Please visit r/legaladvice and/or consult an actual lawyer. If you post about a listing takedown, you must include specific details as to what you were selling. Posts or comments which advocate for violating Etsy policy or the law will be removed and will result in a permanent ban.

    Sellers are welcome to make posts for a shop critique here. However, before you make a post, please read this guideline post, and the links within it, thoroughly!     Please use only the monthly stickied "How are your sales" post to ask others how their sales are going or share how yours are going for the current month. This includes discussion of Etsy ads stats.
  6. Low effort posts / details required / AI written content
    Posts must be substantiative & meaningful. Do not submit posts like "I am starting a shop. What should I know?" Ask specific questions & provide details. If your post is removed with a request for specific details, please edit the post to include those details and message modmail to have it reapproved. You can also create the post again including the details - but do not post again without sufficient detail. Obviously AI written posts and comments are not allowed here.
  7. Complaints & Rants / Repetitive Posts
    Low effort and/or repetitive posts and complaints, whining, clickbait, misinformation, and general nastiness are not allowed. Keep rants and complaints to a minimum and in the context of asking for or offering genuine advice. If you are just here to complain, please do not participate as we want to keep the content on the sub constructive and helpful.

  10. Conspiracy Theories and Misinformation
    r/EtsySellers has an established position that commenters who spread baseless conspiracy theories or misinformation for which they cannot provide a reasonable primary source will be moderated.
  11. No hate speech, incivility, or excessive rudeness
    Personal attacks, excessive rudeness, otherwise inappropriate behavior or content, comments that insult or demean a specific person or group of people will be removed and can result in a ban. Posts or comments made with the purpose of making fun of or shaming a buyer or another user will be removed. Any statements of bigotry, hate, and/or racism are not allowed. We are a strictly anti-bigotry sub.
  12. Do not violate other's privacy, no brigading
    Do not post content which contains personally identifiable information (PII) for anyone, including Etsy sellers and customers. This includes but is not limited to name, address, email address, and phone number. Do not make posts that call out other Reddit users or specific Etsy shops or buyers, and do not request other users to take action against someone, including but not limited to reporting or filing DMCA claims.
