Hackathons for Australians (and honorary Aussies)! G'day. Welcome to the digital campfire where the smartest techies and nerds gather to share hackathons, projects, questions, and AI-fueled dreams. Whether you’re deep in the outback or in a metro region like Melbourne or Sydney, if you’re passionate about building, you’re one of us. We're always on the lookout for participants in hackathons, companies needing us to co-host and organize, or sponsors for epic prize packs. Let's start winning!
What its rules say about promotion
Keep it Relevant
Posts must relate to hackathons or tech news with an Australian focus, including events (national or global), team-building, project showcases, tools, pitching tips, and prizes. Also talk about accelerators, job seeking, projects, apps, other Australian tech events, and startup pitching is also okay! Unlike other subreddits, you can promote yourself here if it's on topic.

What the written rules don't show
- Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
- Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
- The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
Let your AI read the rules before it posts.
ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
