Can you promote on r/hatemyjob?

No rule mentions promotion None of its rules mentions self-promotion. That is not permission: read every rule, say plainly that it's yours, and make the post useful on its own.

Want to post here? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? We'll post for you ($99 per 30-day campaign). Free: a Reddit launch plan for your product, ThreadFox Lite or the posting checklist by email.

Tips, tidbits, pics, stories and vitriol about the jobs we hate and the ways to deal with them. Or, sometimes it just helpful to yell into the abyss...

All 5 rules of r/hatemyjob
  1. Follow Reddit guidelines and TOS.
  2. No advocating or encouraging violence.
The reddit adms have been very clear about the prohibition of advocating for violence against people or animals. Doing so puts the sub's existence in jeopardy. Calling for violence in any form will result in a permanent ban.
  3. No spam.
No blogspam, no online stores, no kickstarters.
  4. Be civil.
No needless arguing or personal attacks. Please don't be a jerk. No personal attacks on other users or OP. Show common courtesy to your fellow redditors.
  5. No singing cats. Ever.

What the written rules don't show

  • Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
  • Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
  • The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.

Let your AI read the rules before it posts.

ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
