What this page is

This page quotes r/hivaids's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-05. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/hivaids's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.

Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.

Want to post here? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? We'll post for you ($99 per 30-day campaign). Free: a Reddit launch plan for your product, ThreadFox Lite or the posting checklist by email.

A community dedicated to people living with HIV.

All 8 rules of r/hivaids
  1. Practice Reddiquite
    - Read the rules before posting/commenting - Be civil! We are all human - Search before posting - Mark posts as NSFW if applicable - Other rules listed under official Reddiquite (www.reddithelp.com/en/categories/reddit-101/reddit-basics/reddiquette)
  2. Relevant Content
Posts and comments must contribute to a topic that is HIV/AIDS related. Please keep discussion on topic. All other content will be removed. This includes religious and political statements.
  3. No questions/inquiries about potential HIV infection
All questions concerning potential infection do not belong in this community. The only way to know your HIV status is to get tested by a doctor. Do not ask other users about how they became HIV positive. Do not ask other users to interpret an HIV test. All posts, comments, or insinuating statements will be removed.
  4. No personal medical issue / symptom / diagnosis / lab result questions
All medical related questions should be directed to a doctor or medical professional. The members of this community are not an appropriate source for such inquiries. It can be dangerous to offer other users advice based on your personal experiences. All posts and comments that fall into this category will be removed.
  5. Cite Sources / Back Up Your Claims
While this subreddit is not an official source of HIV or medical information... misinformation is dangerous. When appropriate, you must provide reputable sources to back up your claims. Posts and comments that are in violation of this rule will be removed.
  6. Quality Over Quantity
This community will only be as good as our weakest moments. Do your best to submit the most high quality contributions you can. Spamming, repetitive questions/comments, and low quality content is grounds for removal at moderator discretion.
  7. Karma Limit / Community Contribution
There are Karma minimums in place that are enforced by our Auto-Moderator. New Reddit accounts and users that are new to this community may be censored at Moderator's discretion.
  8. Respect Administration
Questions, comments, criticisms, and thoughts concerning rules and content removal should always occur within the Modmail inbox. Any harassment or open criticism of the admins may be grounds for removal.

What the written rules don't show

  • Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
  • Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
  • The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.

Let your AI read the rules before it posts.
