What this page is
This page quotes r/hometheatre's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-05. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/hometheatre's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.

What its rules say about promotion
I No Deals, Spam, Self Promotion, or Referral Links/Link Shortening. YouTube links at mod...
Referral Links (including Amazon Smile) allow others to potentially make money. Link Shortening leads to redirects & potentially harmful websites and are not allowed For Amazon Links - ideally Amazon links are in the format www.amazon.com/dp/B00VRRVHMA/ - all the extra stuff after those 10 characters are not necessary. This also includes links to You Tubers, no free promotion for them, they are allowed solely at moderator discretion. (Rtings & HDTVTEST are allowed)

What the written rules don't show
- Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
- Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
- The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
Let your AI read the rules before it posts.
ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
