What its rules say about promotion
No promotion spam
Keep your promotion to a minimum. A post every once in awhile is fine but posting every chance you get is not cool. This also includes clan-specific software or mods.
All 4 rules of r/jediknight
- No attacking others
Keep your discussions civil. No need to attack anyone, especially if you just disagree with them. - Threads & comments must be related to the Jedi Knight game series
This sub is for the Jedi Knight video game series, so all topics must relate to that in some way. Whether it be the games themselves, characters, locations, weapons, mods, etc. - No promotion spam
Keep your promotion to a minimum. A post every once in awhile is fine but posting every chance you get is not cool. This also includes clan-specific software or mods. - Try to stay on topic. Avoid the "Disney bad" circle jerk or other tiresome topics.
We get it, it's what the cool kids do around reddit. Unless it's on topic and in good taste, just avoid bringing it up. You can enjoy discussing the Jedi Knight games without trashing on Disney.
What the written rules don't show
- Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
- Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
- The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
Let your AI read the rules before it posts.
ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
