What this page is
This page quotes r/Marathon_Training's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-05. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/Marathon_Training's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.
Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.
Want to post here? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? This subreddit is for discussions about road and trail marathons. All levels of experience are welcome. Our rules are simple: be kind and no spam, content should be centered around training for marathons. To reduce spam and trolls, all contributors must have a minimum karma of 10 to participate.

All 6 rules of r/Marathon_Training
- Be Kind
Constructive feedback is welcome, uncivil behaviour is not. - No spam.
Advertising apps and personal coaching is not allowed. - Relevant content
Posts must be relevant to completing or training for a full (26.2mi/42.2km) marathon. Posts about shorter race distances are allowed if they form part of a longer term training block for a marathon. - No sales/transfers/inquiries of Marathon Bibs
There's lack of safeguards to thwart spam risks for users even with vetted automod transactions. Quite frankly, if you're here on this sub for marathon training you should have the effort to prepare and at very least, manage to sign up during allotted time for marathon registrations. - Designated weekly threads to talk 3, 4, 5, 6 hour marathons. Wednesday (3), Thursday (4), Friday-(5)
Wednesdays, any 3 hours/sub3 marathon questions/training/predictions will be directed towards weekly thread. Individualized Wednesday^ post may be removed. Thursdays, any 4 hours/sub4 marathon questions/training/predictions will be directed towards weekly thread. Individualized Thursday posts may be removed. Fridays, any 5 hours/Sub5 marathon questions/training/predictions will be directed towards weekly thread. Individualized Friday posts may be removed. - Baseline of 10 karma to post and comment on sub
Hello, r/marathon_training requires all members to gain 10 karma before posting and commenting. This limit is in place to reduce the amount of spam accounts and troll accounts negatively affecting our subreddit, and to give new members time to learn how to use the site. Reddit has many thousands of subreddits you can learn how to use the site on which you can find here: https://old.reddit.com/r/all/. Please feel free to repost when you have an older account or more karma. Thank you, -The Mod
What the written rules don't show
- Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
- Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
- The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
Let your AI read the rules before it posts.
ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
