What this page is
This page quotes r/Mcat's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-05. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/Mcat's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.
Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.
Want to post here? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? All 9 rules of r/Mcat
- Rudeness/Trolling
Rule 1: Rudeness or trolling will not be tolerated. Be nice to each other, hating on other users won't help you get extra points on the MCAT, so why do it? - Spoilers in Post Title and Spoiler Tags
Rule 2A: Do NOT post any question information from any resource in the title of your post. These are considered spoilers and should be marked as such. Rule 2B: Spoiler tags MUST be applied if asking any question information from any resource in the body of your post. - Copyright Infringement/ Account sales
Rule 3: Do NOT link to content that infringes on copyright laws (MCAT torrents, third party resources, etc). Selling of Uworld and other accounts is completely forbidden - No Reposting “Stickied” Posts
Rule 4: Do NOT repost "GOOD LUCK”, “EXAM DAY REACTION“, and “SCORE RELEASE” threads. We have one dedicated "stickied" post for each exam and score release day, contain all test day discussion/reactions to that thread only. - Violation of Examinee Agreement
Rule 5: Do NOT discuss any specific information from your actual MCAT exam. You have signed an examinee agreement, and it will be enforced on this subreddit. - Spam/Advertising/Prep Company Shilling
Rule 6: Do NOT intentionally advertise paid or free products or services of any sort. This includes buy-sell-trade posts of textbooks, prep accounts, and etc. This includes flairs promoting tutoring. These posts and comments will be removed and the user banned without warning, subject to the discretion of the mod team. - No Upvote/Karma Requests
These sorts of requests will not be allowed on this sub. - No Posts Unrelated to the MCAT
All posts must be strictly related to the MCAT. Posts regarding premed topics in general must be made on r/premed. - Posts Require Flairs and Proper Categorization
[Question]: for any questions related to the MCAT [Guide/Journey]: for personal MCAT stories to help guide others to achieve XXX score [Tool/Resource/Tip]: any shareable mnemonics, charts, graphs, tips, and etc.; shared material must follow Rules 3 [Well-being]: to help motivate others and oneself [Vent]: to rage or de-stress about the MCAT [Shitpost/Meme]: self explanatory [Un-official PSA / Discussion]: public announcements or general MCAT discussions
What the written rules don't show
- Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
- Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
- The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
Let your AI read the rules before it posts.
ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
