What this page is
This page quotes r/moctale's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-05. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/moctale's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.
Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.
Want to post here? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? What its rules say about promotion
Limit Self-Promotion
We love seeing community creations (video essays, fan art, blogs), but r/Moctale is not an advertising billboard. Follow the standard 9:1 rule: for every 1 promotional post you make, you should have 9 instances of genuine community interaction.
All 9 rules of r/moctale
- Keep it Civil and Cultured
As "Men of Culture," we respect differing opinions. Debates about whether a movie is a masterpiece or trash are highly encouraged, but personal attacks, harassment, hate speech, or toxicity will result in an immediate ban. Attack the argument, not the user. - Strictly Enforce Spoiler Tags
Don't ruin the experience for others! If your post or comment contains spoilers for a movie, series, or anime (especially recent releases), you must use Reddit's spoiler formatting >!like this!< and include [SPOILER] in the title of your post. - Stay on Topic
All posts must be related to movies, TV series, anime, or the Moctale platform itself. Off-topic posts, political debates unrelated to entertainment media, or general spam will be removed. - No Piracy or Illegal Links
Supporting creators is important. Do not ask for, share, or link to unauthorized streaming sites, torrents, or pirated content. Discussing piracy conceptually is fine, but directly enabling it breaks Reddit's Terms of Service. - Put Effort into Your Posts
5.1 We want meaningful discussions! Avoid low-effort posts, one-word reviews, or generic "What should I watch?" posts without providing any context about your tastes. If you're sharing a Moctale Meter rating, tell us why you agree or disagree with 5.2 No Reposts / Low Effort Crossposts - Do not repost content from other subreddits without credit or added value. - Limit Self-Promotion
We love seeing community creations (video essays, fan art, blogs), but r/Moctale is not an advertising billboard. Follow the standard 9:1 rule: for every 1 promotional post you make, you should have 9 instances of genuine community interaction. - Flair Your Posts Appropriately
Help keep the subreddit organized. Use the correct post flairs (e.g., Movie Discussion, Anime Review, Moctale Meter Debate, Platform Feedback, News) so users can easily filter content they care about. - Moctale Platform Support & Feedback
If you encounter bugs on the Moctale website/app or have feature requests, please use the designated [Bug Report/Feedback] flair. Constructive criticism helps the platform grow! - No impersonation
Do not pretend to be a celebrity or official account. Such posts will be removed unless verified by mods.
What the written rules don't show
- Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
- Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
- The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
Let your AI read the rules before it posts.
ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
