What its rules say about promotion

No hacking, cheating, or TOS violations
Do not promote, facilitate, or provide instructions for hacking, illicit programs, exploits, duping, ban evasion, or other activities that violate the game's Terms of Service. Discussion of game-breaking issues is permitted solely for documentation and awareness, but instructions for exploiting them should not be posted. Suspected exploits should be reported directly to Nexon. This also includes buying, selling, or trading accounts or keys.
No spam or excessive self-promotion
Do not spam the subreddit, including through repeated posts, duplicate content, excessive self-promotion, or misleading advertisements.
Giveaways require moderator approval
All giveaways must be approved by the moderation team before being posted. This helps us prevent scams, undisclosed promotions, and astroturfing.
All 10 rules of r/MSClassicWorld

Keep posts and discussions directly relevant to MapleStory Classic World. Unrelated content may be removed. Political discussion is not permitted, regardless of its connection to the game.
  2. Be civil and respectful
Treat other community members, developers, and staff with respect. Harassment, bullying, threats, personal attacks, or targeted hostility may result in content removal or a ban. Criticism and disagreement are welcome, but personal attacks are not.
  3. No hacking, cheating, or TOS violations
Do not promote, facilitate, or provide instructions for hacking, illicit programs, exploits, duping, ban evasion, or other activities that violate the game's Terms of Service. 4. Use appropriate spoiler and NSFW tags
Content containing spoilers or NSFW material must be appropriately marked. Unmarked content may be removed.
  5. No spam or excessive self-promotion

Discord links are permitted in the Guild Recruitment megathread. Approved Discord links also include the subreddit-associated Discord and official Nexon-owned Discords. Offering or implying that unauthorized links will be provided via DM to circumvent this rule is prohibited. Unofficial merchandise links, including T-shirt stores, are prohibited.
  7. Low-Effort, Misleading, or Redundant Content
Memes and jokes are allowed in good faith. Please avoid clickbait, excessive capitalization, and usernames in titles. Reposts, reaction posts, and multiple posts about the same topic may be removed or consolidated to keep the subreddit organized.
  8. Giveaways require moderator approval
All giveaways must be approved by the moderation team before being posted. This helps us prevent scams, undisclosed promotions, and astroturfing.
  9. Ban evasion
Rejoining the community once banned on a new account is considered ban evasion and will result in the new account banned.
  10. Keep Serious discussions on topic.
Posts marked with the SERIOUS flair are intended to discuss a single topic without devolving into complete negativity or arguments. All comments should stay on topic and expand the conversation started by the original post.

What the written rules don't show

  • Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
  • Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
  • The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.

Let your AI read the rules before it posts.
