- its rules on Reddit
A community for Muslim developers, programmers, designers, founders, and tech learners building beneficial tools for the Ummah. Share projects, ask technical questions, collaborate, discuss Islamic tech ethics, and help one another grow upon Quran, Sunnah, and the understanding of the Salaf.
What its rules say about promotion
No Haram Content or Projects
Do not promote, request help for, or showcase projects involving haram activities such as pornography, music, images with women(even with full hijab), interest based platforms, scams, or unethical software or anything violating Islamic laws.
No Sectarian Debates
This is not a place for sectarian arguments, theological disputes, or attacking scholars or groups. This however does not mean that apps made for/by deviant sects can be promoted as the subreddit follows the way of the Salaf. The goal is collaboration and benefit only.
No Spam or Excessive Self Promotion
Sharing your own project is allowed if it is relevant and explained properly. Pure advertising, repeated promotion, or spam is not allowed.
Project Showcases Must Contain Media
Project Showcases must have screenshots or videos of the project being showcased.

What the written rules don't show
- Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
- Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
- The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
