Can you promote on r/Nonsleep?

No rule mentions promotion None of its rules mentions self-promotion. That is not permission: read every rule, say plainly that it's yours, and make the post useful on its own.

Want to post here? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? Horror stories, by original writers, that were removed from Nosleep.

All 5 rules of r/Nonsleep
  1. Horror Stories
Must be a complete horror story posted by the original writer. Title only in titlebar. No YouTube narration videos in posts. Don't include writer commentary in the post or title.
  2. Please Use Flair
Use flair to show how it got removed from Nosleep. Don't mention what happened in the title or in the post.
  3. Friendly Comments
Only amicable and wholesome commentary is allowed. No ridicule or harassment.
  4. YouTube and Links
We do not allow non-chapter links in stories, especially links to YouTube videos. You are allowed to create links between chapters. If you aren't sure a link is appropriate for your story, message the mods before posting so we can approve. In comments: links to YouTube videos or requests for permission to narrate is okay. It is better to directly message a writer to ask permission, and that's what we recommend. You must obtain permission before narrating on YouTube.
  5. Mature or NSFW
Do not post unmarked stories that have NSFW content. To mark stories that have NSFW content, use the NSFW button before posting a story like that.

What the written rules don't show

  • Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
  • Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
  • The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.

Let your AI read the rules before it posts.
