No rule mentions promotion None of its rules mentions self-promotion. That is not permission: read every rule, say plainly that it's yours, and make the post useful on its own.

  1. Original work only.
    This subreddit is for Original Content only. Please use our sister sub /r/Poetry for posting other poetry content.
  2. Basic Civility
    Treat each other with kindness and respect. The mods have an incredibly strict definition for each of these concepts. They will remove comments/posts and ban users that make others feel unwelcome or unsafe.
  3. All posts must include two links to recent feedback.
    This subreddit is an online poetry workshop. It works on a "give feedback to get it" basis. To post a poem, you must first give feedback to other poets here. Every post must contain two links to comments/posts on this subreddit where you have given feedback. Do not reuse links. The feedback must be from the last two weeks. All posts without feedback links will be removed.
  4. Feedback must be high-effort.
    We expect every linked feedback comment to show effort. You don't have to write a novel, nor do you have to be a poetry expert. But we do want to see that you have tried to notice your reactions to the poem, and then tried to explain them. [Here is our feedback guide](/r/ocpoetry/wiki/feedbackcritiques). It explains what we expect, and how to give feedback if you're a beginner. Poems that link to low-effort feedback, and low-effort comments themselves, will be removed at mod discretion.
  5. No Blogspam
    Do not use URL shorteners. Do not post blogspam. Links to personal poetry blogs are allowed as all other rules have been followed.
  6. Image/Audio Poems Must Include Text
    Audio, video, and image poems are allowed; however, all prior rules must be followed. Further, the text of the piece must be included in the body of the post.
