What this page is

This page quotes r/ourUAE's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-05. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/ourUAE's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.

What its rules say about promotion

No Spam or Self-Promotion
No advertising, affiliate links, or repeated self-promotion. If you want to share your business or content, ask the mods first. Do not advertise unlicensed businesses, promote cryptocurrency or financial schemes not recognized by UAE authorities, or post misleading claims about products or services.
All 15 rules of r/ourUAE
  1. No Military or Security Content
Do not post photos, videos, or information related to military installations, defense systems, security operations, or sensitive government facilities. This is a serious offense under UAE law. During security situations, follow official government channels only.
  2. Respect UAE Culture, Religion, and Values
This is a space that celebrates the UAE. Content that disrespects Emirati culture, traditions, the leadership, or any religion is strictly forbidden. Mocking, insulting, or demeaning any religion, religious figures, prophets, holy books, or places of worship is not tolerated; this is also a serious criminal offense under UAE law.
  3. Be Respectful to members
Treat every member with respect. No personal attacks, insults, name-calling, or harassment. Disagree with ideas, not people. This is a community built on mutual respect.
  4. No Rumors or Misinformation
Do not spread unverified information, rumors, or fake news. If sharing news, always link to a credible and official source. Reposting unverified claims, even if you didn't create them, can have serious legal consequences under UAE law. During sensitive times (emergencies, security situations), rely only on official government channels.
  5. No Hate Speech or Discrimination
Zero tolerance for racism, sexism, xenophobia, or any form of discrimination based on nationality, ethnicity, religion, or background. The UAE is home to people from all over the world, this sub reflects that.
  6. No content about other countries
All posts must be relevant to the UAE or (general) life-related. Like culture, people, news, food, travel, daily life, history, or future. Not about other countries.
  7. No Trolling or Bait Posts
Posts or comments designed to provoke, mock, or stir up drama will be removed. We're here for genuine conversation, not chaos.
  9. Use Appropriate Flairs
Tag your posts with the correct flair (e.g., News, Discussion, Food, Culture, Travel, Question, Humor). This keeps the sub organized and easy to browse.
  10. No Low-Effort Posts
One-word posts, vague titles, or lazy screenshots with no context will be removed. Put some thought into your contributions.
  11. English and Arabic Welcome
Posts and comments in both English and Arabic are welcome. If posting in Arabic, a brief English summary is appreciated but not required.
  12. Strict Privacy Protection
Do not share anyone's personal information, photos, videos, voice recordings, or location without their explicit consent. This includes photos of people's homes, cars, or identifiable property. Do not post screenshots of private conversations. Sharing someone's image or personal data without consent is a criminal offense punishable by law, even if the content is true. No doxxing, no exceptions.
  13. No Defamation or Personal Insults
Do not make accusations, spread gossip, or post content that harms someone's reputation, whether they are a public figure, a business, or a private individual. Under UAE law, online defamation is a criminal offense with severe penalties. Criticize ideas, not people.
  14. No Unauthorized Surveys or Data Collection
Do not conduct surveys, polls, or data collection activities that target UAE residents without proper authorization. Casual community questions are fine, but formal research or data-gathering requires a permit.
  15. Listen to the Mods
Moderators have the final say. If a mod asks you to edit or remove something, please cooperate. We're all here to keep this community great.

What the written rules don't show

  • Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
  • Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
  • The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.

Let your AI read the rules before it posts.

ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
