What its rules say about promotion

No campaign names, links, or ads
Do not post links to, or names of, any Patreon page or creator for any reason. Do not post links or mention web sites, social media accounts, research projects, or do any other type of advertising, or YOU WILL BE BANNED. This includes mentioning the name of any Patreon page, or lengthy descriptions of what is offered there. This is a sub for advice about using Patreon, not for spam & promotion.

  1. No campaign names, links, or ads
    Do not post links to, or names of, any Patreon page or creator for any reason. Do not post links or mention web sites, social media accounts, research projects, or do any other type of advertising, or YOU WILL BE BANNED. This includes mentioning the name of any Patreon page, or lengthy descriptions of what is offered there. This is a sub for advice about using Patreon, not for spam & promotion.
  2. Use a clear, informative title
    Your title should summarize the main point of your post. If you have a question, use that. This is so the subreddit search results will be useful, and so readers will know if they can help you. Mods may remove posts with uninformative titles such as: * Greetings. e.g. "Hello!" * Generic requests for help, e.g. "I have a question" * Feature areas, e.g. "Pledge question"
  3. No piracy, hacking, circumventing Patreon guidelines, requests for others to do so.
    Asking for or offering free access to paywalled content from any Patreon creator is not allowed. We also do not allow hacks that attempt to circumvent any aspect of the Patreon site, or the community guidelines, or posts that request information on how to do so. Do not mention pirate sites by name.
  4. No tech support or "DAE have this bug" posts
    This sub is not an official Patreon support forum. There's plenty of helpful Patreon users/creators on here who can help with various things, but don't ask questions that can only be answered by Patreon Support: https://support.patreon.com/ Other options include: try a different computer or device, try a different internet connection, check Patreon's status page, try later, hit them up publicly on Twitter.
  5. No over asked questions/search before you post.
    Before you post, please make an effort to check if your question has already been answered previously. Use the search function or better yet, a site:reddit.com/r/patreon search on Google.
  6. Don't be a jerk.
    Please treat others with respect. Calling other people names, hijacking posts, or posting comments that are rude or not helpful will get you banned.
  7. Your post must be about Patreon.
    If your post does not appear to be about using Patreon, it will be removed.
  8. No naming and shaming, hate or revenge posts.
    This sub is for help, not revenge. If you're having difficulty with a creator, please contact them directly. If you're having difficulties with Patreon, contact support. Any posts that rant about someone or something you don't like, and you risk being banned for this type of behavior. Take it elsewhere.
  9. No comparative questions, surveys or market research
    This is not the place to compare Patreon with other platforms, ask questions about other platforms, or post surveys or questions about the new platform or Patreon-supporting tool you're building. If you want to target r/patreon users for market research, consider a Reddit ad. If you want comparative discussion, try r/crowdfunding.
