What this page is

This page quotes r/phinvest's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-05. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/phinvest's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.

What its rules say about promotion

Posts containing self-promotion links (blogs, vlogs, etc) need to adhere to Rule 1 body text effort
Self-promotion posts **are permitted**, but only if Rule 1 (standards of effort) is maintained by including information in the body text that can help drive discussion.
"Customer service" posts will be removed; post your app-related questions to the weekly thread.
Things that can be easily googled will be removed.
All 9 rules of r/phinvest
  1. Posts should meet standards of effort.
Do not post just an article; highlight the parts you find relevant or offer some commentary. Some posts (like breaking news and announcements) may not require body text for relevancy. The point of this rule is to keep the front page from turning into a comments section. If you are asking a question, be sure to read/search before you post. In most cases, you will get a better answer or generate a better discussion. Posts asking common questions may be removed and posters directed to the FAQ.
  2. Posts should be on-topic to making, handling, and/or growing money.
Posts should be sufficiently related to making money, handling money, or growing money. If it's not obvious how your post relates to money, you should explain the connection in the body text of your post.
  3. Posts should be relevant to Philippine investors.
Posts should be sufficiently related in some way to investors based in the Philippines. If the connection isn't obvious, explain in the body text of your post to help guide and encourage discussion. Posts about investing technique/theory that Filipinos can use are ok. Posts applicable to general concepts that are out of reach for Philippine-based investors, like maximizing your 401-K would not be allowed.
  4. Posts containing self-promotion links (blogs, vlogs, etc) need to adhere to Rule 1 body text effort
Self-promotion posts **are permitted**, but only if Rule 1 (standards of effort) is maintained by including information in the body text that can help drive discussion.
  5. "I have THIS_MUCH_MONEY, what should I do with it?" posts will be removed.
Obviously, this includes the even more mundane "I have THIS_MUCH_MONEY" posts. Investing is something that requires the investor to do his/her own research (due diligence), because each investor's situation is different. Please read the FAQ, do some research first. You'll soon see why "What should I do with P5,000?" doesn't really make sense as a question.
  6. "Customer service" posts will be removed; post your app-related questions to the weekly thread.
Things that can be easily googled will be removed.
  7. Use the Weekly Discussion Thread for things like quick questions, rants and portfolio snapshots.
For portfolio snapshots, you may post in r/adultingphwins instead. For rants, you may post in r/OffMyChestPH. For simple questions or non-investing questions, you may post in r/askPH or r/advicePH.
  8. Ads are not allowed. Pls post in r/classifiedsph or r/phclassifieds instead.
    Spammers will be banned.
  9. Be kind, be polite, and remember that the other user is a human.
When posting and responding to comments in this subreddit, please try to keep it friendly and avoid ad hominem replies to other users. Rude posts will be removed. Offensive/aggressive posts will be removed. Posts which contain racism, sexism, homophobia, harassment, violence, religious intolerance, or slurs will be removed.

What the written rules don't show

  • Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
  • Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
  • The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.

Let your AI read the rules before it posts.

ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
