What this page is
This page quotes r/pourover's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-05. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/pourover's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.

What its rules say about promotion
No Spam, for sales, referral links
Spam is not allowed. Commercial posts are only allowed in mod-approved threads. Posts meant to direct traffic to an outside site are not allowed. No for-sale posts are allowed. No referral links. Nothing that the mods can interpret as financial benefit. Breaking this can result in a ban without warning. Do not make posts that are thinly disguised to send people to your youtube channel or social media. E.g., If you have a recipe, put it in the post, don't link your social media.
All 4 rules of r/pourover
- Remember the Human
Be respectful to all community members, no name calling or personal attacks. - No Trolling or disturbing the peace
Deliberately making random comments or controversial comments with the intent of provoking emotional responses, and other forms of trolling is not allowed. - No Spam, for sales, referral links

Posts should be to elicit discussion, present a point of view, etc. Text posts should contain enough info to elicit discussion (if you want advice provide enough detail). Images/videos can be very educational, but MUST be accompanied by a discussion, the OP's perspective and/or questions, or other commentary. Posting a picture of a bag of beans with "Just picked these up, fruity and delicious" will no longer be allowed -- include interesting comments/observations or the post will be removed
What the written rules don't show
- Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
- Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
- The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
Let your AI read the rules before it posts.
ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
