Can you promote on r/programmingrequests?

No rule mentions promotion None of its rules mentions self-promotion. That is not permission: read every rule, say plainly that it's yours, and make the post useful on its own.

  1. Requests Only
    Your post must be a request of some kind. Don't offer your services **without prior request for help**, even for free.
  2. Request Must Solve an Actual Problem
    Your request must be about a real life problem you are facing, or how your daily life could be improved using some kind of automated solution. Do not request for programs (e.g. games) to be created (from scratch) for your own amusement or boredom.
  3. No Illegal, Malicious, or Unethical Requests
    Do not request: - Anything illegal or unethical. - Scraping or automating services when against their Terms of Service. - Bypassing security systems (Captcha) - Cheating at video games (auto-clickers, etc.)
  4. No Homework, Academic, or Interview Questions
    This subreddit is not a place to have others complete whole assignments, tests, or coding interview questions for you.
  5. Do Not Contact Users via Direct Messages (DMs) for More Info
    All discussions should happen in the comments. If additional information is needed to complete the request, provide it publicly so that everyone benefits. Users should not request help in DMs.
  6. [TIP] Be Specific and Provide Details
    Clearly explain your problem, including: - The goal of the request. - Any relevant input/output examples or expected results. - Constraints or limitations (e.g., performance, dependencies) (if applicable). - The programming language(s) or platforms involved (if applicable).
  7. [TIP] Avoid Requests Requiring Niche Hardware
    Requests that require specific, uncommon, or expensive hardware (e.g., industrial sensors, custom IoT devices) are discouraged. Most users don't own those devices, and developing a solution for those without owning one can be quite complicated. Unless they have a well-documented SDK or there are widely available alternatives (e.g., Raspberry Pi, Arduino, standard PCs), please avoid those kinds of requests.
  8. [TIP] Use Proper Post Titles
    Titles should briefly summarize the problem. Avoid generic titles like "Need help!" or "Urgent request!". Instead, use descriptive titles such as: ✅ "Need a script to automate file renaming"
  9. [TIP] Don't Specify a Programming Language
    Unless you have a good reason to. People usually want a solution for their problem, regardless of what the solution actually uses under the hood; whether it is a webapp, native executable, Python script, etc.
