What this page is
This page quotes r/reddithelp's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-05. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/reddithelp's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.
Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.
Want to post here? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? We'll post for you ($99 per 30-day campaign). Free: a Reddit launch plan for your product, ThreadFox Lite or the posting checklist by email.

What its rules say about promotion
R2: No Spam or Self-Promotion
Our community does not allow spam, advertisements, or self-promotion.
All 7 rules of r/reddithelp
- R1: Respect Others
- We maintain a respectful community. - We don't tolerate insults or negativity. - Remember your [Reddiquette](https://support.reddithelp.com/hc/en-us/articles/205926439) - We ask that you refrain from making comments about r/reddithelp moderation efforts within posts or comments. Modmail is available for review and requests. - R2: No Spam or Self-Promotion
Our community does not allow spam, advertisements, or self-promotion. - R3: No Brigading, Harassment, or Doxxing
Brigading, harassment, and doxxing, or negative references that could influence others to these actions, are strictly forbidden. - Brigading includes any organized attempt to influence another community (e.g., mass downvoting, coordinated harassment, trolling mods, or "witch hunts"); - Don't use your post as a call to action against another user or subreddit; - Doxxing is sharing private or identifying information about someone without their consent; - Violations may result in an immediate ban. - R4: Follow Reddit Policies
- Do not ask for or offer advice about how to bypass subreddit filters or Reddit sitewide filters. - **This includes** [ban evasion](https://support.reddithelp.com/hc/en-us/articles/15484544471444-Ban-evasion-filter). - **And also Reddit's age verification**. - Discussions about illegal or illicit activities are not allowed. - Reddit Content Policy: [here](https://www.redditinc.com/policies/content-policy) - Reddit User Agreement: [here](https://www.redditinc.com/policies/user-agreement) - R5: No Politically Inflammatory Content
It doesn't matter where it lands on the political spectrum. No politics or mention of politicized incidents. - R6: Moderator Discretion
Moderators have discretion to remove any posts or comments that are not a fit for this community. - R7: No Ranting or Soapboxing
To maintain a supportive and effective environment, we do not allow posts that are primarily rants, vents, or soapboxing about personal grievances. - Posts and comments should clearly state a problem you need help with or offer practical advice to others. - No grandstanding or larping for sympathy: Do not use your post to preach, lecture, or push a particular agenda. - This isn't the place to air your grievances about being banned from another subreddit, or to complain about other communities.
What the written rules don't show
- Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
- Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
- The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
Let your AI read the rules before it posts.
ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
