What this page is
This page quotes r/Resume's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-05. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/Resume's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.
Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). - Be kind, be helpful, be constructive.
Be kind, be helpful, be constructive. Gooooo You! - Upload resumes as an image file.
The best way to submit your resume is as an image. Plaintext and sites like google docs or docdroid can mess up the formatting. Image files are generally recommended. - Anonymize personal information on your resume.
Anonymize personal information on your resume such as real names, addresses, phone numbers, and emails - Don't take resume advice as gospel.
There are no hard rules with resumes, and everyone has an opinion, you are advised to take any resume advice with a grain of salt. Or several. - No advertising.
No postings for services, unsolicited links, or spam will be allowed
What the written rules don't show
- Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
- Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
- The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
Let your AI read the rules before it posts.
ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
