What this page is

This page quotes r/Semenretention's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-05. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/Semenretention's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.

Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.

Want to post here? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? We'll post for you ($99 per 30-day campaign). Free: a Reddit launch plan for your product, ThreadFox Lite or the posting checklist by email.

*PLEASE READ THIS AND CLICK ON EACH DROP DOWN RULE BEFORE POSTING ANYTHING TO AVOID A BAN* Welcome brothers. SR is an ancient practice used by a small percentage of the male population worldwide. SR provides many benefits that are extremely useful to men regardless of your age, social or financial situation. The purpose of this sub is to discuss the physical and spiritual benefits of retaining.

What its rules say about promotion

Stay on topic
Stay on topic in your posts and comments. This board is for discussion of semen retention, its practices past and present, and related literature. Staying on topic makes it easier for all users to find and read posts without having to trawl through unrelated stuff. Tangents do happen but please try to remain on the subject. No "meme posts," spam, or self-promotion, there are other fine places on reddit for this. Violation of this rule may result in locked or removed thread and/or a ban.
All 7 rules of r/Semenretention
  1. Be civil and respectful
Be civil and respectful of others here. This sub covers multiple approaches to semen retention. If you disagree with something, back it up with reasoning and evidence. This helps us learn from each other and may convince others more of your view than berating someone for doing something differently. Most importantly this keeps us on topic. Petty personal attacks (ad hominem) insults or anything of the sort toward users on or off the sub may result in post deletion and/or ban.
  2. Terminology/Subjects that are insta-ban
The main purpose of the SR sub is to discuss the physical and spiritual benefits of retaining post 31 days and up. The purpose of Nofap is to discuss porn addiction, sexual urges, masturbation and learning self control in these areas. If you are posting in SR then you should be past all this. Unacceptable Subjects/Terminology: Nofap,PMO,Urges,Edging,Porn,Jerking Off,Relapse,Wet Dream Streaks: just say days retained, a streak is something ending "I practice SR and Nofap" no you don't.
  3. *Zero Tolerance for Newbie/Low Quality Posts*
No posts of experiences before 1-30 days and spamming the group with non-informative post. Only post experiences every 30 days for High Quality Content & reasonable amount of time.) - No Memes or Gifs here at all. - No Relapse posts whining and looking for pity. - No random posts that have nothing to do with Semen Retention or short, lazy uninformative posts that are overall pointless. Any of these rules broken will result in a temporary ban, so to avoid that, stay on topic please!
  4. Only quality posts allowed
This sub is geared toward serious and thoughtful discussion for those people who have experience with the practice of Semen Retention, therefore posts that inquire about beginner issues such as relapsing within a month timeframe, Wet dreams, etc. will result in a short ban, repeated offenses will lead to a permaban. Any posts that are one liner motivational posts, title only, are memes, etc. also fall in this category and will result in a ban. This is not r/nofap.
  6. No dietary posts
Due to the fact it creates too much drama and conflict, and does not directly have to do with the topic of SR.
  7. NoFap/PMO
Please refer to Nofap subreddit for PMO/Masturbation posts.

What the written rules don't show

  • Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
  • Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
  • The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.

Let your AI read the rules before it posts.

ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
