What this page is
This page quotes r/SnapchatHelp's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-05. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/SnapchatHelp's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.
Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). What its rules say about promotion
Rule 3: Do not advertise.
Any form of advertising will result in a permanent ban. You can appeal this. Advertising includes "Content", Accounts, Hacks, Snapscore, and Asking for Friends. If you have a solution, "DM me" will count as advertsing and you WILL be banned.
Rule 5. No NSFW posts.
No Nsfw posts. This mainly relates to images, selling or seeking sexting. First time is a warning. Second time is a 30 day ban. Third time is a permanant ban.
All 9 rules of r/SnapchatHelp
- Rule 1:
Posts must be questions about Snapchat
Posts cannot be related to other apps, including third-party apps, as these are not allowed to be used under Snapchat's Terms. - Rule 2:
No Spamming
No double-posting the same question, and spamming the comments. - Rule 3:
Do not advertise.
Any form of advertising will result in a permanent ban. You can appeal this. Advertising includes "Content", Accounts, Hacks, Snapscore, and Asking for Friends. If you have a solution, "DM me" will count as advertsing and you WILL be banned. - Rule 4:
Keep it civil.
Slurs will not be tolerated, nor will any form of racism, homophobia or transphobia. Threats will also not be tolerated. ANY form of harrasment will not be tollerated and will result if a 14 day mute then a subsequent ban. - Rule 5. No NSFW posts.
No Nsfw posts. This mainly relates to images, selling or seeking sexting. First time is a warning. Second time is a 30 day ban. Third time is a permanant ban. - Rule 6:
No identifiable information.
Usernames, Real names, Emails, phone numbers, all will be removed and you will have a warning for the first offence. A second offence results in a ban. Due to Reddit's rules, this includes posting creeps or pedos. - Rule 7. Karma and account age.
Your account must be at least 1* month old otherwise the automod will remove the post without hesitation. There is also a 10 karma limit for posting where the automod will do the same. If you need karma there are places you can post to get free karma. You can also message the mod team to get your post approved for posting. This is to help prevent bots. - Rule 8. No links.
ALL links are to be removed by the Automod - Rule 9: No hacks or bypasses
There is to be no asking/offering help with hacking, no password bypasses or anything will result in an instant ban. This includes the media popup.
What the written rules don't show
- Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
- Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
- The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
Let your AI read the rules before it posts.
ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
