What this page is

This page quotes r/Teenager's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-06. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/Teenager's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.

Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.

Want to post here? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? We'll post for you ($99 per 30-day campaign). Free: a Reddit launch plan for your product, ThreadFox Lite or the posting checklist by email.

Do not advertise any subreddit, discord server, youtube channel, social media, website, brand, etc. here.
All 14 rules of r/Teenager
  1. 13-19 ONLY
If we get the impression you are under 13 or over 19, you will be banned.
  2. Must be verified to post selfies
You must be verified to post any images of yourself. Record a video of yourself saying "Verification for r/Teenager" while holding up a paper that has been crumpled and then uncrumpled that has the words "r/Teenager" and then your username and the date on it. Then upload it to a website like imgur where you can then modmail us the link due to Reddit Chats / ModMail not supporting video. If you are not verified your post will be removed and you may be banned for repeated offenses.
  3. You are allowed to post 1 selfie every two days
Exceeding this limit will result in a post removal, and frequent rule-breaks will result in a temporary ban. As of this rule creation, selfies aren't the most prominent type of post on the subreddit, however, if selfies start to become the most posted type of post again, we'll revise this rule.
  4. No NSFW content
No NSFW subreddit links or content, no screamers, no gore, no porn, no asking for nudes. r/teenager is not the place for these types of things. If you are apart of NSFW subreddits, you will be banned. Discussions on topics like sexuality is fine as long as it is treated in a mature fashion. However, sexually implicit or explicit content involving minors is not tolerated.
  5. No discussing/posting about potentially triggering content.
Potentially triggering content includes: *Sexual Abuse/ Assault *Pedophilia + grooming (if you are concerned about these things happening on the sub, do not post, send a modmail) *Self harm *Drugs (use and abuse) *Suicide *Murder *Slurs + targeted discrimination *Threats *Terrorism
  6. No personal attacks
Any content that personally attacks other users, or could be potentially offensive, is not tolerated. While you may disagree with another user, you may not attack them for it. Correct their facts, discuss it, but keep it civil - r/teenager is a community in which everyone is welcome. Depending on what you say, it could result in a temporary ban.
  7. No asking to DM
Please do not ask users to DM you or contact you on another platform.
  8. No personal information
Posting personal information (A.K.A doxxing) of anyone, even yourself, is not allowed. This information can and has lead to users being harassed. Personal information includes, surnames, email addresses, phone numbers, home addresses, school names, social media profiles, and social security numbers. First names, and your age, is allowed.
  9. No Advertising
Do not advertise any subreddit, discord server, youtube channel, social media, website, brand, etc. here.
  10. No Spamming or Low Effort Posts
We believe that spam and low effort comment and karma farms is harmful to the regular use of the subreddit. Please keep all content on-topic, relevant, and discussion or laugh worthy. This includes but not limited to overdone memes, copypastas, “i’m bored”, or other forms of spam posts. Additionally, please do not look for friends or relationships here as we are not a e-dating sub. Surveys are allowed as long as they are purely educational and opinion based.
  11. Flair your posts
Please use correct flair. If flair is incorrect, your post risks removal. A bot will help you by sending you a message if you forgot to flair.
  12. AMAs DO require mod approval
AMAs do require moderator approval after careful consideration. However, please follow some general guidelines: You must be a person of common interest to our community demographic with a factor that is truly unique. Please only provide appropriate and rule following answers. Report rule-breaking questions.
  13. Surveys and studies DO require prior mod approval.
Do not post surveys & studies without contacting the moderators first. You can do this by sending a modmail with the link to the survey or website, and we will tell you can post it or not.
  14. No NSFW subreddits
If we see you’re apart of NSFW subreddits or are commenting on them, you will be banned.

What the written rules don't show

  • Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
  • Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
  • The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.

Let your AI read the rules before it posts.

ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
