For Suggestions, follow these rules:
* Don't suggest more than one series in a post. * Include the title of the show in the post's title. * Please wait six months before suggesting a previously recommended series. * Don't promote a series you've worked on. * Don't suggest a series that hasn't aired yet. * Only link to neutral sources, [this subreddit isn't your link farm](https://www.reddit.com/wiki/selfpromotion).

For suggesting posts, the title of the series must be in the title of the post. This allows people to search if their suggestion has already been posted recently.
What the written rules don't show
- Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
- Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
- The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
