What its rules say about promotion

Don't post more than one of your own posts per day
While you are encouraged to share your own work, please don't share more than one of your posts per day. You're of course welcome to share other people's blog posts as much as you want!
No spam
While you are encouraged to share your own blog posts, posts that are solely for spam purposes (example: an affiliate product review, a company posting their "sales" blog, non-travel-related posts) will be removed. It's fine if your post has ads on it or some affiliate links, but no posts that are solely for this purpose.

What the written rules don't show

  • Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
  • Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
  • The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.

Let your AI read the rules before it posts.

ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
