What this page is
This page quotes r/trustedhousesitters's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-04. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/trustedhousesitters's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.
Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.
Want to post here? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? We'll post for you ($99 per 30-day campaign). Free: a Reddit launch plan for your product, ThreadFox Lite or the posting checklist by email.

- its rules on Reddit
An unofficial forum for users of TrustedHousesitters.com without the heavy-handed moderation of the website's own "community forum." All topics and viewpoints are welcome. Posting links to existing threads on the official THS forum where relevant is encouraged; there is plenty of good content there despite the censorship and other issues. Please refrain from spamming referral links.
What its rules say about promotion
No spamming referral links.
Please only post referral links in the lounge or referral sticky thread. If another user new to THS creates a post specifically asking for one, they should be directed to the sticky. The purpose of this rule is to minimize the influence of referral farming on our discussions and how we engage with each other in this sub. Violations will result in a temporary ban, unless they are repeated and egregious.

Self-explanatory. A primary goal of this sub is to avoid censorship and excessive moderation - please conduct yourself in a way that doesn't require a mod to step in and interrupt the discussion. - This sub is not just for complaining.
Negative posts and critiques of THS are welcome here, but please also share your positive experiences, success stories, and constructive advice for other sitters and hosts! This sub aims to be more than just a forum to air grievances.
What the written rules don't show
- Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
- Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
- The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
Let your AI read the rules before it posts.
ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
