What its rules say about promotion
Chatroom advertisement and/or drama
Repeated advertisement of non-official chatrooms is prohibited. Posts that only talk about drama from non-official chatrooms are also prohibited. [Here you can find our list of rules with examples](https://www.reddit.com/r/Tulpas/wiki/submission_rules#wiki_chatroom_advertisement_and_drama)
All 13 rules of r/Tulpas
- Meme
This subreddit is not the place for memes. Posts and comments that use them for the sake of explaining concepts or staying light-hearted are fine, provided those posts also contribute other content; what we want to avoid are low-effort content submissions that would otherwise clog our frontpage. [Here you can find our list of rules with examples](/r/Tulpas/wiki/submission_rules#wiki_memes) - Vague title and content
Posts with vague titles will be removed if they do not have sufficient elaboration in the text body; posts with vague titles may be removed if we feel that the title's ambiguity will lead to non-constructive discussion. [Here you can find our list of rules with examples](/r/Tulpas/wiki/submission_rules#wiki_vague_title_and_content) - Creepypasta
Irrelevant horror stories and egregious fiction will be removed. If you really want to know, yes, we've seen them all. [Here you can find our list of rules with examples](/r/Tulpas/wiki/submission_rules#wiki_creepypasta) - Low-effort
Low-effort posts with little to no content that also do not bring anything worth of discussion will be removed. Low-effort comments that attempt to derail discussions will be removed. [Here you can find our list of rules with examples](/r/Tulpas/wiki/submission_rules#wiki_low-effort) - Unmarked NSFW link(s)
Please indicate any and all NSFW links appropriately. NSFW content includes but is not limited to: sexual or sexually suggestive content, drug use, discussion of illegal activities. Unmarked NSFW links **in comments** will be removed. [Here you can find our list of rules with examples](/r/Tulpas/wiki/submission_rules#wiki_unmarked_nsfw_links) - Harassment
Comments that Harass other users and opinions will be removed. People can have different opinions, but there's **never** a reason to justify being uncivil. [Here you can find our list of rules with examples](/r/Tulpas/wiki/submission_rules#wiki_harassment) - Unknown Speakers
Brackets and other signs are hard to make sense of if they aren't labeled in some way: with a name, or in your flair. Don't assume other people know who you are in a system; if more than one people in your system wishes to speak, please identify them accordingly. [Here you can find our list of rules with examples](/r/Tulpas/wiki/submission_rules#wiki_unknown_speakers) - Single System Comment Chain
One system making multiple posts for the sole purpose of responding to themselves is unacceptable comment bloat. It's perfectly fine to discuss between yourselves about anything, but using multiple comments to post the ins and outs of your train of thought is absolutely unnecessary. [Here you can find our list of rules with examples](/r/Tulpas/wiki/submission_rules#wiki_single_system_comment_chain) - Chatroom advertisement and/or drama
Repeated advertisement of non-official chatrooms is prohibited. Posts that only talk about drama from non-official chatrooms are also prohibited. [Here you can find our list of rules with examples](https://www.reddit.com/r/Tulpas/wiki/submission_rules#wiki_chatroom_advertisement_and_drama) - Image post not on Tuesday
Image posting day is Tuesday. You can submit images as part of your post on any day, as long as your post is viable without the image, but if you're posting individual art of a tulpa or by a tulpa, it has to be on Tuesday. - AMAs only with mod approval
AMAs must offer something unique and of value to the community. To guarantee this, if you want to do an AMA, you have to propose your AMA to the moderation team through modmail or the official discord, explain what unique perspective you have to offer, and receive approval before you will be allowed to post your AMA. - Frequently Asked Question
Your question is likely answered by the [FAQ](https://www.reddit.com/r/Tulpas/wiki/faq), or has a simple enough answer that it should be addressed by commenting in the pinned post at the top of the subreddit. - English only posts.
Due to recent events, we require all posts to be in English due to the mod team's limited energy, tools, and ability to speak foreign languages. We do understand this can be an issue, but there are plenty of online translation tools you can use to post things in English to interact with this community.
What the written rules don't show
- Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
- Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
- The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
