What this page is

This page quotes r/UBreddit's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-05. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/UBreddit's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.

Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.

Want to post here? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? We'll post for you ($99 per 30-day campaign). Free: a Reddit launch plan for your product, ThreadFox Lite or the posting checklist by email.

The sUBreddit for all things University at Buffalo/SUNY at Buffalo/UB! This is an unofficial space (unaffiliated with UB) for any and all students, alumni, faculty, and staff to share news, photos, ask questions, and communicate with other members of the UB community.

What its rules say about promotion

All personal ads go in the designated Buying/Selling and housing thread
Any classified ads or personal ads belong on the buying/selling and housing thread. Exceptions to UB clubs posting club information.
Requesting and buying/selling of copyrighted materials (ie. textbooks) and homework are not allowed
Requesting and buying/selling of copyrighted materials (ie. textbooks) and homework are not allowed may result in a ban. This will be on a case to case basis as we understand that old notes or practice exams can be used as study materials, however being vague about inquiring can raise alarms. Just be transparent.
All 6 rules of r/UBreddit
  1. Keep it civil
  2. No racism or prejudice.

  5. No sexual objectification of real people
Let me explain. Some people use UBreddit as a sort of Missed Connections or open letters to others, most being memes/shitposting. Example: “Dear loud people at library, STFU.” Ok, fine. Other users: “Dear girl who works at XXX place in the Union, u thicc af.” Not fine. I have been removing said posts.
  6. No identifying information.
Comments calling out people you know IRL by their names are discouraged, as well as posting your phone number or email.

What the written rules don't show

  • Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
  • Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
  • The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.

Let your AI read the rules before it posts.

ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
