What its rules say about promotion

No Promotions, Referral Codes or Self-Promotion
Promotional content is not allowed. This includes advertisements, affiliate links, referral codes, referral links, discount/promo codes, promotional offers, and self-promotion of products, services, apps, websites or businesses. Referral codes may only be shared in the Referral Codes Megathread - https://www.reddit.com/r/UPI/s/8AAUxY2Jh3. Share codes only — referral links are not permitted. Genuine recommendations and discussions are allowed as long as they are not promotional in nature.
Sources Required for News and Claims
News, regulatory updates, policy changes and other externally sourced claims must include a credible source. Links to legitimate sources are allowed where they are necessary to substantiate the post. Do not use URL shorteners, referral links, affiliate links or promotional links.
No DM Requests (Sending / Receiving / “Check DM”)
Do not request, offer, or direct others toward private messages. This prevents unmonitored promotions or misleading advice. Share suggestions publicly—there’s no issue doing so.
All 7 rules of r/UPI
  2. No Requests for Money
Do not ask, solicit or collect money from other users. This includes donations, loans, financial assistance, UPI transfers, crowdfunding requests and requests to send money to a personal UPI ID or bank account. Posts or comments soliciting money may result in a permanent ban without prior warning.
  3. Do Not Share Personal Information
Never post sensitive information such as UPI IDs, mobile numbers, bank account numbers, card numbers, CVV, OTPs, PINs, passwords or any financial information. If you post a screenshot, redact all sensitive information before submitting it. Do not assume that information is safe to share simply because it appears on a transaction receipt or payment screenshot.
  4. Be Civil - No Harassment
Treat other users with respect. Personal attacks, harassment, threats, trolling, doxxing and attempts to expose another person's private information are not allowed. Disagreement is fine. Personal abuse is not.
  5. Sources Required for News and Claims
News, regulatory updates, policy changes and other externally sourced claims must include a credible source. Links to legitimate sources are allowed where they are necessary to substantiate the post. Do not use URL shorteners, referral links, affiliate links or promotional links.
  6. UPI Related Posts Only
Posts must be directly related to UPI, UPI transactions, UPI apps, UPI-enabled bank accounts, UPI regulations or closely related payment issues. General banking, credit cards, loans, investments, income tax, bank account issues and other financial topics belong in a more appropriate subreddit unless UPI is directly involved.
  7. No DM Requests (Sending / Receiving / “Check DM”)
Do not request, offer, or direct others toward private messages. This prevents unmonitored promotions or misleading advice. Share suggestions publicly—there’s no issue doing so.

What the written rules don't show

  • Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
  • Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
  • The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.

Let your AI read the rules before it posts.

ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
