What its rules say about promotion
No promotion, uploaded videos, or non-newsworthy YouTube links
You may **not** promote, post Reddit-uploaded videos, or post non-newsworthy YouTube links in posts and/or comments. Promotion includes: * Links to; or images, screenshots, or names of: * Channels * Videos * Live streams * Milestones * Social media accounts * Gaming groups * Discord servers * Sub4sub * Referral links * Giveaways Three violations - only one for shadowbanned users - results in a permanent ban from this community.
No seeking feedback on your content
You may **not** seek feedback on your content, as it is essentially an indirect form of promotion. This applies to all forms of content; be it channels, videos, thumbnails, or branding. Link dumps disguised as feedback requests still count as promotion violations. Peer reviews may instead be requested in the Creators category on [our Discord server](http://discord.gg/youtubegaming); once you connect your YouTube and Discord accounts and set your channel to be visible on your Discord profile.

Actions that are against the YouTube Terms of Service are forbidden. Offers/requests for video/channel collaborations should be sought in the Collaborations category of [our Discord server](http://discord.gg/youtubegaming), or in r/LetsPlayCollab. This rule is in place as posts/comments regarding collaborations tend to result in people promoting their own work, in violation of Rule 1.

This community is to discuss YouTube as a gaming video platform. If all you are here for is to talk about yourself or your videos and channel, you are not helping the community as a whole grow. Examples of unrelated posts: * Asking what games to play * Asking how to get views and/or subscribers * Asking which game is better * Discussing channel suspensions and/or terminations * Looking for channel recommendations * Looking for a specific channel - No seeking feedback on your content

You can have disagreements and strong opinions, but please remember the human. Attack the argument, not the person behind it. No personal attacks. Keep racism, homophobia, and sexism out of this community. No brigading. This community is not your personal army. No doxxing. Anonymous polling sites (such as Strawpoll) are not permitted in this community, due to the ease with which anonymous polls can be influenced and have their results falsified with multiple votes. Please use the native Reddit poll post option; or for more complicated polls, use [Google Forms](https://docs.google.com/forms) with the sign-in required option. Exceptions are allowed for official surveys conducted as part of e.g. university research.
