Welcome to Zambia, home of the smoke that thunders (Mosi-oa-Tunya)! This community is about Zambia; made for Zambians, visitors, and anyone interested to learn about our great nation.

What its rules say about promotion

Nothing illegal.
Posting content, comments or information that would be considered illegal in Zambia will incur a warning, and on a second offence, a ban. Do not request, share or promote illegal services or goods. This includes but is not limited to asking where you can find drugs, piracy, and any form of trafficking.
No self promotion or advertising.
This subreddit is not a platform for promoting your personal business or services. Please refrain from selling or promoting goods or services of any kind except when addressing a subreddit question from another user. Posts or irrelevant comments made for the purpose of promoting products, SEO, promoting other social-media channels and irrelevant subreddits may be removed.
All 6 rules of r/Zambia
  1. All posts should be related to Zambia.
Posts that are unrelated to Zambia or our community will be removed.* Casual conversations intended for Zambians but not related to Zambia can be posted in our chat ‘Zambezi Talk'. Mods may remove posts which are considered substandard to maintain subreddit quality. Note: *Being part of Africa does not make all African content relevant to r/Zambia.
  2. Be respectful to others.
Zambians are known to be a friendly nation; let's reflect that online too. Treat others as you would like to be treated. You can debate ideas, but don't attack people. Posts/Comments/Chats that are considered discriminatory (racist, sexist, homophobic and bigoted), violent, abusive, personal attacks (ad hominem), or 'trolling' to offend others are not reflective of our country. This content is subject to removal, which may result in a permanent ban.
  3. No low effort posts.
Low effort posts will be considered spam and may be subject to removal. Posts that have a missing context, only contain a link, duplicate a topic from this week, or involve misinformation or low-quality images/videos will be subject to removal. If the post is 'News' then: 1. The title must be verbatim. 2. Include a link from the *original* source 3. The description (If present) should be informative. Your opinion should be in the comment section, not the post.
  4. Nothing illegal.
Posting content, comments or information that would be considered illegal in Zambia will incur a warning, and on a second offence, a ban. Do not request, share or promote illegal services or goods. This includes but is not limited to asking where you can find drugs, piracy, and any form of trafficking.
  6. Follow Reddit-wide rules.
All Redditors and communities operate by a shared set of Reddit rules. These rules are enforced by Reddit Admins https://redditinc.com/policies/reddit-rules . These are informal rules other Redditors expect. https://www.reddithelp.com/hc/en-us/articles/205926439

What the written rules don't show

  • Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
  • Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
  • The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.

Let your AI read the rules before it posts.

ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
