    Treat fellow Redditors with respect, even if you disagree with them. Avoid personal attacks, hate speech, and discrimination of any kind.
  2. Unrelated
    Keep discussions relevant to Zimbabwe. Posts and comments should relate to the country's culture, history, politics, economy, and other aspects of life in Zimbabwe.
  3. Spam
    Avoid excessive self-promotion, spamming, or low-effort content. This includes lazily titled posts, and posts with little to no context for engagement. Share valuable and relevant information, and refrain from posting repetitive or irrelevant content.
  4. Privacy
    Do not share personal information without consent, and respect copyright laws when sharing content. Provide proper attribution when necessary.
  5. Trolling
    Do not engage in brigading, trolling, or disruptive behaviour. Contribute constructively to discussions and maintain a positive atmosphere within the community.

What the written rules don't show

  • Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
  • Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
  • The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.
