Check setup for my AI and computer
Will it work with my setup?
Choose your AI client and computer to see the steps before you buy. Your AI plan is separate; ThreadFox runs locally through your Chrome.
Claude Desktop · install the extension
- Use a Claude Desktop build that supports local extensions. From your private buyer library, download
ThreadFox.mcpb, open it with Claude and click Install. - Start a new regular chat. Desktop supplies Python; ThreadFox prepares Node.js if needed. The Code view uses the terminal path instead.
- Add Microsoft’s Playwright Extension to your Chrome, sign in to Reddit, then choose Set up ThreadFox under + or type
set up ThreadFox.
Linux: Claude Desktop is in beta. Confirm your build offers local extension installation. If opening the file does not offer Install, choose Claude Code or Codex and use the terminal route. Current Linux requirements.
Claude Code or Codex · use your library’s installer
- Install and sign in to your AI client on this computer first. It must support local tools.
- From your private library, copy the command for your system into PowerShell on Windows, or Terminal on macOS/Linux. Keep the full command private. It installs the tools and registers the supported clients it finds.
- Restart the AI client. Add Microsoft’s Playwright Extension to Chrome, sign in to Reddit, and ask your AI to
set up ThreadFox.
The installer uses Python 3.10+ and Node.js 18+, or downloads checksum-verified copies for supported systems. No administrator rights are needed for the ThreadFox installer. Keep the AI client and Chrome on the same computer.
Use a computer to run the tools
A phone or browser-only chat can read your library and claim the included Launch Pack, but cannot run these local tools. The pack is a one-product plan and three drafts, emailed within 24 hours of your library claim.
Continue on a computer with Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex. If you want our team to run the campaign, Managed is a separate service.
Ready means: after the first Chrome tab-selection prompt, the tool check passes and your AI shows the intended Reddit username. Installing a client alone does not prove the connection. Keep normal permission prompts enabled.
Full setup steps & troubleshooting · Already bought it? Open your library
We used ThreadFox to find your Reddit thread. Use the same tools to find useful threads, check the rules, write posts and replies, and follow up. Set it up once on your computer with a compatible AI client, Chrome and your Reddit account. Your AI service is separate. Keep using the tools beyond the three included drafts.
How AI fits in. Your AI runs the tools through your own Chrome. You set the direction and authorize the work. It checks current rules, writes, posts once and follows up. Rules, account limits and AI permission prompts still apply.
We run it on ourselves. On October 13 it brought 1,143 people from Reddit to this site. What it brings you depends on your product and what you say.

ThreadFox browser demo: one test post and reply (October 7, 2026)
I make ThreadFox, a toolkit that connects AI clients to Reddit through Chrome. This is a controlled test in r/test for a product demonstration: the tool fills this text, publishes once, and reads the resulting link. One reply will test the conversation step. No customer or campaign result is being claimed.
Reply (body only)
This is the reply step of the ThreadFox connection test. The tool submitted this through the same signed-in Chrome connection. Product and setup guide: https://threadfox.vip/guide . This is a technical demonstration, not a testimonial or sales result.
A real r/test recording, with pauses shortened. Transcript

Your plan for your app
Your app takes any documentation URL and packages it into a clean markdown ZIP for people using Cursor or Claude offline.
r/ClaudeAI 1,153,149 members
It allows a post about it on its stated conditions
Why it fits: Its members are Claude and Claude Code users, and your tool is made for people who use Claude offline with documentation.
What it expects, an opening angle, what gets it removed
- What it expects
- The project must be "built with Claude/Claude Code or specifically for Claude BY YOU", with a clear description of what it does and how Claude helped, a statement that it is free to try, minimal promotional language and a relevant flair. Feed posts also need more than 100 karma.
- An opening angle
- Describe how your tool turns a documentation site into a clean markdown set that Claude can use offline, including what still breaks on unusual doc structures.
- What gets a post removed
- Your post can be removed for leaving out how Claude helped, not saying it is free to try, using referral links, heavy promotional language or missing flair. A cofounder search is outside what the permission covers, and it bans "job seeking requests".
Its rule, word for word:
“Promoting your project or paid service is encouraged if it fit the following criteria:”
- “clear project was built with Claude/Claude Code or specifically for Claude BY YOU”
- “include a clear description of what was built, how Claude helped in detail, and what it does”
- “project must be free to try and say so (paid tiers OK)”
and 6 more in its rules
- “promotional language minimal”
- “do not use referral links (link to the project is ok)”
- “no job seeking requests or resumes”
- “Posts on the feed now require OP karma>100”
- “Help others filter posts by their area of interest by choosing the flair most related to its usage group.”
- “If none fit, or you feel it is of more general interest, choose the flair most relevant.”

It allows a post about it on its stated conditions
Why it fits: It exists for makers and devs to share apps and tools, and builders like these are who a documentation packager for coding assistants is for.
What it expects, an opening angle, what gets it removed
- What it expects
- Include "a short description or context" with your link, and comment on other people's posts.
- An opening angle
- Show a documentation URL going in and the clean markdown ZIP coming out, and ask which doc sites break it.
- What gets a post removed
- Your post can be removed if it is a bare link with no description, or if it is spam or trolling.
Its rule, word for word:
“This community exists for makers, devs, and founders to share their apps, SaaS, and software projects.”
- “Just make sure your post includes a short description or context — don’t drop a bare link.”
- “Comment on others’ posts, give feedback, and celebrate wins together.”

r/MacroStartups 1,974 members
It allows a post about it on its stated conditions
Why it fits: It is for sharing startup ideas, help and journeys, which fits a live MVP whose maker wants input on a hard crawler problem.
What it expects, an opening angle, what gets it removed
- What it expects
- State clearly what it is and what problem it solves, give context such as "what it does, why it exists, or what feedback you want", and avoid misleading titles or exaggerated claims.
- An opening angle
- Explain how differently Docusaurus, Mintlify and custom static generators structure their docs, and ask for feedback on moving to LLM-assisted structure discovery.
- What gets a post removed
- Your post can be removed for a bare link, a misleading title, exaggerated claims or hidden intentions. If you are also looking for a cofounder, say so openly in your post.
Its rule, word for word:
“You are allowed to share your SaaS, startup, or product links.”
- “However, posts should provide context and value (what it does, why it exists, or what feedback you want), not just a bare link.”
- “If you are sharing a project or service, clearly state what it is and what problem it solves.”
- “No misleading titles, exaggerated claims, or hidden intentions.”

- “Competitor posts must contain sufficient homework and evidence.”
- “Competitor posts must satisfy ALL of the following criteria: a) cannot merely ask for a comparison without offering the author's own insights, research, genuine experiences, or evidence of investigation; b) cannot presume one model is better than another without providing detailed, novel evidence demonstrating this in specific instances; c) cannot cite comparative benchmarks without a source d) it cannot use inflammatory language.”
- “Use relevant post flair”
- “Help others filter posts by their area of interest by choosing the flair most related to its usage group.”
- “If none fit, or you feel it is of more general interest, choose the flair most relevant.”

All 12 of its rules for posts, word for word
- Be respectful Diversity of opinion is welcome. Controversial opinions are welcome. Personal attacks and harassment are not. Ask Claude for a definition of "good faith discussion for a subreddit" if you're unsure what's acceptable.
- Be relevant Stay relevant to the Claude and Claude Code technology and users. We generally don't accept posts of more general AI interest here.
- Be constructive. Don't come here to agitate others. Is your post/comment likely to add positively to the knowledge or experience of other readers here? Has it already been shared recently? Is it just designed to agitate others? Cancellation announcements and unsupported rants are not constructive. We also do not allow the organization of legal action on the subreddit.
- Use the Megathreads for your recent Claude performance and bug reports/complaints Help us keep track of Claude system performance, limits and bugs by keeping your experiences and reports on the relevant Megathread https://www.reddit.com/r/ClaudeAI/comments/1s7fepn/rclaudeai_list_of_ongoing_megathreads/. This also frees the feed from performance incident flooding. We make occasional exceptions for well substantiated and helpful posts including useful questions. Check first if your issue has been discussed recently.
- Do not come here to fix your Anthropic account problem Community replies to individual account issues have often caused confusion. We have no way of fixing the problem with your account and Anthropic does not respond to account help requests on this subreddit. Try their normal support channels. If you believe you were incorrectly charged, talk to your bank about a chargeback.
- Competitor posts must contain sufficient homework and evidence. Competitor posts must satisfy ALL of the following criteria: a) cannot merely ask for a comparison without offering the author's own insights, research, genuine experiences, or evidence of investigation; b) cannot presume one model is better than another without providing detailed, novel evidence demonstrating this in specific instances; c) cannot cite comparative benchmarks without a source d) it cannot use inflammatory language. Basically you have to give before you can take.
- Showcase your project in a way that helps educate and inspire others Promoting your project or paid service is encouraged if it fit the following criteria: * clear project was built with Claude/Claude Code or specifically for Claude BY YOU * include a clear description of what was built, how Claude helped in detail, and what it does * project must be free to try and say so (paid tiers OK) * promotional language minimal * do not use referral links (link to the project is ok) * no job seeking requests or resumes Posts on the feed now require OP karma>100
- Read the Megathreads before you subscribe to Claude We strongly advise you visit the Performance Megathread before purchasing a plan. It is here https://www.reddit.com/r/ClaudeAI/comments/1s7fepn/rclaudeai_list_of_ongoing_megathreads/. Be aware of some of the issues you may face. Claude is a fast evolving technology.
- Use relevant post flair Claude has vast amounts of diverse use cases. As a result, often the problems/questions/praise you have for Claude are not shared by others. Help others filter posts by their area of interest by choosing the flair most related to its usage group. If none fit, or you feel it is of more general interest, choose the flair most relevant.
- Don't manipulate upvotes Undermining the Reddit voting system is an immediate permanent ban offence. This includes the use of bots. This subreddit has bots in place looking for suspicious activity.
- Stay grounded If you post narratives about AI consciousness and experiences, they must be based in grounded research with references OR be clearly marked in the title as fiction to avoid misguiding people in vulnerable mental states AND use the Writing flair.
- Be Reddit-compliant This subreddit uses Reddit's default harassment and abuse filters. In addition, you may find yourself or your content removed by Reddit if you don't follow their policies. These can be found below. Reddit content policy: https://www.redditinc.com/policies/content-policy Those discussing the use of Claude for creative writing should pay particular attention to Rules 6, 7 and 4. - Be Nice: No offensive behavior, insults, or attacks The intent of this rule is to keep this sub accessible to everyone. Correcting others is allowed, but we ask that statements are not as pointed when about other users.
- Make your post/question clear; if you want to share an idea/project, please provide substance Demonstrate that you have put in effort prior to asking questions. If the answer can be easily found on Google, your post may be flagged for removal. We encourage the use of ChatGPT to answer coding questions as well. - No Hardware or Cloud Deployment Questions for LLMs LLM discussions & recommendations are within the scope of this sub, but we'll ask that you direct questions about hardware, custom LLM model development (as in, training a 40B model from scratch), and cloud deployment architectures as skewing towards the scope of r/LocalLLaMA or r/RAG.
- AI Generated Spam Content must not be obviously AI-generated. It creates too much spam to weed through. Our members take a lot of time to create thoughtful responses, and it wastes everyone's time.
- ChatGPT conversations are not research. Also, no recursion, sentience, and alignment discussions. Discussion about recursion / consciousness / alignment / chatbot memory through conversing with ChatGPT is not allowed. Prompt research is only allowed if it is a formal arxiv research paper. We just see too much spam on the subject. If ChatGPT helped develop a research idea, please do not post it here unless it has been published through formal channels.
- Conference Posts go in the Megathread If no thread exists, please make one and DM to get it stickied.

- No Funnelling Refrain from "funnelling posts" which serve to either openly or slyly get people to DM you asking for more information. This is an open community, and as such any value your post provides should be wholly contained within the post.
- No Astroturfing It's important to be transparent about your relationship to any project you post, if you are caught astroturfing both you and your project will be permanently removed from the community.
- Flair Appropriately Please select the appropriate flair that matches your post. If you are showcasing a project, use the "showcase" flairs, and if you vibe-coded the project, use the "vibecoded showcase" flairs.

Making something else? Look up your own product
A few things before you start.
What do I need?
Your own Claude or Codex plan (Claude Code, Claude Desktop or Codex), your Reddit account, and a computer with Chrome for the one-time setup. After that you can start and follow runs from the Claude app on your phone with Remote Control (Claude Pro, Max, Team or Enterprise): it drives the session on your computer, so the computer needs to be on. Watch the setup walkthrough.
What arrives after payment?
Your private library with the ThreadFox installer and connection guide. Connect your AI and Chrome, give it your business brief and let it carry out the outreach you authorize. Claim your included Launch Pack there: a researched community plan and three tailored post drafts for one product, emailed within 24 hours of your claim.
Will it post automatically?
Yes. Once connected, your AI can research, write, publish and follow up within the permissions you give it. ThreadFox supplies the tools and workflow; your AI client runs the job. Keep the required computer and client running for active work. Community rules, account restrictions and your client's permission prompts still apply.
What if it is not for me?
The kit has a 30-day self-service refund. Your free plan stays free.
Does this guarantee customers?
No. The demo proves that the tools can publish a post and reply. Results depend on your offer, the conversations available and how people respond. See our recorded runs.
