What this page is

This page quotes r/ainbow's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-12. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/ainbow's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.

Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). What its rules say about promotion

No Spam
We do not allow spam, including advertisements including advertisements and personal ads. You may post content promoting independent queer artists, but such content must be marked with the LBGT+ self-promotion flair. The product/service must not be advertising a corporation or use non-reputable websites.
All 8 rules of r/ainbow
  1. No Trolling
Users that are obvious low-effort trolls will be banned on sight. Trolling of any kind is prohibited. Low level examples include bigoted statements, unprovoked insults, and any malicious use of slurs.
  2. No Porn or Nudity
Pornographic and nude material is not allowed.
  3. Flag NSFW Content
Content that is NSFW—not suitable for children under 18—should be marked as such. Porn and nudity is not permitted, even if flagged as NSFW.
  4. No Discord/Chat links
We have an official r/ainbow discord, you can find over in the sidebar. Unfortunately, we can't check every discord linked, so we have made the decision to not allow links to other ones on the subreddit for our users’ safety.
  5. No Chain Posts
No chain posts, such as "repost if <blank>." Examples of chain posts include “<identity> is valid pass it on" or "reblog if you are against hate crimes."
  6. No Spam
We do not allow spam, including advertisements including advertisements and personal ads. You may post content promoting independent queer artists, but such content must be marked with the LBGT+ self-promotion flair. The product/service must not be advertising a corporation or use non-reputable websites.
  7. No Surveys, Questionnaires, Research Studies, or Crowdfunding
Research surveys and random user surveys are not permitted. Consider directing such content to r/lgbtstudies. Additionally, asking for donations or linking to crowdfunding websites is not permitted. Unfortunately, there is no good way to differentiate scammers and people who genuinely need support, so we do not allow it.
  8. Respect Others
All discussions on r/ainbow are expected to be in good-faith. Users exhibiting rude or toxic behavior will be dealt with according to moderator discretion.

What the written rules don't show

  • Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
  • Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
  • The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.

Let your AI read the rules before it posts.

ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
