What this page is

This page quotes r/AmongUs's rules as ThreadFox read them on 2026-10-12. The quoted text is the community's; the verdict above is our reading of it. Conditions often decide whether a post fits (a required thread, flair, posting day, account age or karma), and r/AmongUs's current rules on Reddit always win over this page.

Free, for a specific product: a researched Reddit plan by email (communities whose rules fit your post, quoted and dated), or ThreadFox Lite, read-only tools an AI assistant can use to read a community's current rules itself, through your own Chrome (Claude Code: claude mcp add threadfox-lite -- uvx threadfox-lite). For an assistant that also writes and posts within each community's rules, the ThreadFox kit is $49 once.

Want to post here? Get ThreadFox ($49): your AI (Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Codex) reads a community's current rules, writes one post that fits and posts once from your own Chrome. No Claude? We'll post for you ($49 per 30-day campaign). Free: a Reddit launch plan for your product, ThreadFox Lite or the posting checklist by email.

What its rules say about promotion

Advertising
No linking to or selling of unofficial merchandise is allowed on the subreddit. Content creators are allowed to link their social media when posting original content, but they may not directly plug their Ko-Fi or Patreon pages on the subreddit. This is a **shortened** version of the rule. Please visit this [page](https://www.reddit.com/r/AmongUs/wiki/rules) to read the extended version.
All 12 rules of r/AmongUs
  1. Relevancy to Among Us
Content has to have a substantive connection to the game or its fandom. Submissions of words or real-world objects that bear a resemblance to in-game characters, objects (especially not intentionally) or terminology commonly used in the game are not sufficiently connected to qualify. This is a **shortened** version of the rule. Please visit this [page](https://www.reddit.com/r/AmongUs/wiki/rules) to read the extended version.
  2. Title Guidelines
Titles need to accurately describe the contents of the post. They must be at least 10 characters long and be in English. Titles may not contain spoilers or be NSFW. This is a **shortened** version of the rule. Please visit this [page](https://www.reddit.com/r/AmongUs/wiki/rules) to read the extended version.
  3. Quality Guidelines
Submissions should not revolve around low-effort, low-quality, or repetitive content. Users can only post one OC post per day. OC posts shouldn't be low-effort, low-quality or repetitive content. Content that revolves around commonly-used topics or uses an often-used meme template may be pruned at the mods' discretion. The current list of overused topics/memes can be found [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/AmongUs/wiki/overused_topic_ban_list).
  4. Safe For Work
Content must be safe for work and be suitable for a teen-and-up audience. This rule is strictly enforced, and applies to both posts as well as comments.
  5. Behavior
Be kind and respectful when interacting with others, and take what people say in good faith. Arguments and disagreements are allowed, but don't be an asshole. No personal attacks, harassment, or bigotry of any kind is allowed. Do not spam people's inboxes. This is a **shortened** version of the rule. Please visit this [page](https://www.reddit.com/r/AmongUs/wiki/rules) to read the extended version.
  7. Accusations & Witch Hunts
Do not call out users, subreddits, Discord servers or other online communities for real or perceived wrongdoings. Do not attempt to use this subreddit to raid or brigade other communities in any way. Callouts containing personally identifiable information ("doxxing") will lead to a permanent ban. This is a **shortened** version of the rule. Please visit this [page](https://www.reddit.com/r/AmongUs/wiki/rules) to read the extended version.
  8. No cheating or encouraging cheating
Discussing how to use cheats or encouraging the usage of them is strictly forbidden. This includes any kind of script, program or any 3rd party interaction to get an unintended advantage such as viewing roles, sabotage as a crewmate, etc. Linking to them is also forbidden.
  9. English only (non-English messages require a translation)
Due to the moderators having a primary language of English, it's the only language they can moderate in effectively. However, translation services through programs like Google Translate, Google Lens or DeepL are permitted alongside the original message.
  10. No misinformation
Posts and comments must be factually accurate. Avoid spreading false or misleading information, whether about the game itself, its mechanics, updates, or community events.
  11. No Piracy
Piracy is not permitted. This includes any means of circumventing paying for any paid content, such as illegal downloads from an unofficial website or getting any paid content by bypassing the regular means of accessing it. This applies for both the regular game and the contents of it, as well as the show.
  12. Do not show spoilers
This primarily applies to the Among Us show. Please use the spoiler tag for posts that discuss spoilers that could reveal parts of the plot. This also means to not put spoilers as part of the title. Comments that mention spoilers should also censor the major stuff that would give away the entire plot.

What the written rules don't show

  • Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
  • Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
  • The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.

Let your AI read the rules before it posts.

ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
