We're here for the r/arduino community. If your post isn't growing or supporting r/arduino, it may be removed. That means don't just post content to promote your own money-making external channel - if you link a video from a private channel, describe it properly and answer questions here in the sub, and don't delete your post once it's been answered. Also don't spam or post other blatant commercial production promotion, click-bait, or karma farming, and don't post URL's in your post titles.

  1. Be Kind
    Remember the human. Be kind to each other, especially to the noobs - we all started at the bottom. That also means no witch hunts, no trolling or incendiary comments, no excessively crude language or otherwise NSFW behaviour. And while we're not a "Do-My-Homework" subreddit, we're definitely a "Please-Help-With-My-Homework" community, but be nice in pointing out the difference.
  2. Be Descriptive
    Use English as our common language. Be as descriptive as possible in your posts. Info to include: which Arduino you’re using, a list of exact components, your code so far, what you’re trying to achieve, and what went wrong. A schematic of your circuit rather than a vague photo of a breadboard. The more info, the faster we can help. And, when you include complete working code that illustrates the problem, format it as a code block. No photos or screenshots of code (or errors) please - text only.
  3. Be Helpful
    Low quality or off-topic posts or comments will be removed at the mods' discretion. So will memes, bots, reposts, stolen content, misinformation, politics, religion, URL shorteners etc. Bots will generally be banned on sight, and so will any shady, illegal, or otherwise unethical projects. Your deadline or other urgency for a solution is not our problem, so please leave them off your posts.
  4. Grow our Community
    We're here for the r/arduino community. If your post isn't growing or supporting r/arduino, it may be removed.   5. No potentially dangerous projects
    This is a public forum with people of all ages, motivations, skill and competency levels. Potentially harmful projects such as devices that can be used for illegal activities, weapons, medical devices or other potentially harmful purposes - whether for personal use or not, are not allowed. If you are unsure about whether your project will fall into this category, contact the mods before posting.
  6. No "Do my project for me" requests
    We are community for enthusiasts and hobbyists who want to share their amazing creations, tips, techniques and generally help people out - especially newbies who want to learn. We are not a "Hire a Programmer", "Do my homework" nor "Fix my AI gibberish" site. If you are wanting to learn, we welcome you - especially newbies. If you are simply wanting someone to do your project for you, try somewhere else. This is a DIY Hobby. Without the Y you're just asking someone to build something for you.
