All 12 rules of r/bangalorefoodies
  1. Don't be rude
    politeness much ?
  2. Respect other's opinions
Various people have different opinions and they shouldn't be judged over it.
  3. Post must include [Name and Price of the Dish] [Name and Location of the restaurant]
We love seeing where you’ve eaten but a picture + restaurant name + location alone isn’t a review. If you’re posting a food review, please share a little more about your experience, especially: • What dishes you ordered • Prices / approximate spend • What you thought of the food • Any other useful details that would help fellow foodies decide whether to visit We’re not asking for a full essay, just enough information to make your post useful to the community. ❤️
  4. Posts with "Homemade (Healthy)" flair must include the Recipe.
Homemade Posts without the Recipe will be removed. Homemade posts should use the ‘Homemade (Healthy)’ flair and include your recipe in your post or in a comment. Homemade food posts often lead to questions about ingredients and preparation from the community members. Sharing your recipe helps others recreate your dish, encourages discussion and makes our community more helpful and engaging for everyone.

Posts about promotional material will be reviewed by the mods. If the user is found to be spamming, they may be restricted

  7. Promotional Posts must use Flair and include price
Promotional Posts must use the flair and must include the prices for items mentioned.
  8. No separate reservations post
We understand that people have or need reservations, but that clutters the sub. Instead, please use the pinned reservations post to post about your reservation.
  9. Low effort posts
posts requesting information or suggestions on places to eat without as much as the cuisine , area. and budget
  10. No Solo Meetups
We cannot be held responsible for the safety of members when they choose to meet with other Redditors, especially in a solo setting. Solo meetup request posts will be removed, if you want to meet up, please do that over DMs. Group meetups are fine for now, but we're watching. We recommend creating a post on Bangalore Meetups instead
  11. No Low-Effort Review Bombing
  12. Online Bullying & Personal Attacks [Disagreement is welcome. Personal attacks are not.]
If you think a bake sale, pop-up, restaurant, product, or service is overpriced? You can choose not to buy it, attend it or simply scroll past. There is no need to harass or ridicule someone over it. Comments containing bullying, harassment, personal attacks, targeted ridicule or repeated trolling may be removed. Repeated or serious violations may result in moderator action, including temporary or permanent bans.

What the written rules don't show

  • Unpublished minimums. Many communities remove posts from new or low-karma accounts through AutoModerator settings that are not on the rules page, often before a moderator sees them.
  • Reddit's own filters. Reddit's site-wide spam filters can remove posts from accounts that mostly share links to their own site, in any community.
  • The community's norms. Many communities see themselves as peers, not an audience: post where you already take part, and make the post worth reading without the link.

Let your AI read the rules before it posts.

ThreadFox reads a community's current rules, writes a post that fits them, posts once with Reddit's Brand affiliate tag and checks it stayed up. The free ThreadFox Lite reads rules too.
